Dissapointing - Got the basics all wrong!
Me and my wife stayed here for 1 night as we were attending a concert at Manchester Arena. I used a local NCP carpark (£25 a night) and then made our way to the hotel where we were greeted by very friendly hotel staff, paid our £50 deposit and went to our room (21). The room was a good size with funky decor but had a few issues. First of all, we noticed a used contact lens from a previous guest on the floor beside the bin. The tv wasn't connected (although impressive in size) and did not include apps such as Netflix as had been advertised. It wasn't even connected via the socket or the internet. Comfort wise the bed was fine, although I was awoken by the sound of creaking floorboards above (you hear literally every step people make). In the morning we tried to make a coffee but no granulated option was provided, leaving only a perculator - which would have been fine, had the machine worked and the milk provided not already gone off. Needless to say, this experience didn't tempt us to pay the £11.95 each for breakfast. We reported every issue to the very polite gentleman on reception who advised that someone would be in touch regarding our feedback. I left it until the next day before writing this review in the hope that we would be contacted, but I'm yet to receive a call or email about our experience. As such, I'm afraid that I couldn't recommend this hotel to friends or family staying in Manchester - I expected better.

Exceptional 10.0
The hotel location was perfect for working in the day and relaxing in the evening. The staff could not have been more helpful and the room itself was certainly interesting!

Poor 2.0
Ridiculous noise.
We were in room 15 which is directly above a set of nightclub speakers and practically uninhabitable if you want even a minute of sleep. I was expecting some noise, no problem, it's a vibrant part of town so some outside noise and all that, no problem. But this was ridiculous. We left and booked a room elsewhere late into the night.
