Elm Lodge Ludlow
We arrived an hour early for check in and we were let into our room straight away. The room was accessed by an external staircase, you did have to take care on the stairs when wet. The room had a large bed,tv,small couch and table. Behind the bed screen was tea coffee and kettle and small fridge on one side. On the other side was a small area for hanging up clothes and a mirror and hairdryer. The bathroom had a large shower, showergel/ shampoo , soap and a nice touch of cotton wool balls. The room was comfortable and again a nice touch with lots of magazines and books to read. The only downside was you could feel the springs on the bed.We still had a good sleep. The area was quiet at night. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a walk round the garden which is full of lovely trees and a pond. It used to be a golf course but now it is a wooded walk. The breakfast was lovely. To start was cereal, fruit, yogurt, choice of tea coffee toast. The breakfast is cooked to order. We ordered our breakfast the previous day and gave a time we wanted to have breakfast. Again the owner was very friendly at breakfast. We walked into Ludlow which was approximately one mile. Ludlow was a lovely little town with lots of places to eat, church , castle, river and lots of old listed buildings. We stayed one night, but there are lots of places to visit in the area if you wanted to stay longer.

Lovely quiet place very close to Ludlow.
We spent a couple of nights. The welcome and service could not have been better. Breakfast was excellent and very relaxed. The hosts were a mine of information and very generous with their time. Highly recommended. (Make sure you have a satnav or a local map as otherwise it could be hard to find.)

A very pleasant stay
Barbara went out of her way to make our stay a truly memorable one as it was my birthday. We had the suite for 2 nights and there was plenty of room for us to move about. There was more than just a microwave and fridge, which was a pleasant surprise.
