Okay this property is the perfect location for when you’re staying downtown in Houston. It’s minutes away from the Galleria mall which is walking distance. They have a very small indoor pool that’s only 3ft and I believe a gym and a computer area. I first booked this hotel for my b-day in April for a girls trip. Everything was nice besides the receptionist who checked me in, he had an attitude and gave me a hard time about paying for parking. I really believe parking should be included in the price. Why make guest pay additional money to park at the hotel they booked. Then the parking garage is huge. Just like you can get packages for complementary breakfast or not it should be the same for parking. Paying wasn’t an issue letting him know I wasn’t aware was. Anyway I was hesitant about booking this time to evaluate for a hurricane because of that receptionist. I had 3 rooms within my 2 night stay. One room my key wasn’t working went downstairs to get it re activated went back to the room to find another guest staying in my room and she explained the same thing happened to her we both was FURIOUS. I went back downstairs it took long for them to find me a new room and the front desk receptionist asked for my card to put another $100 hold on my account for incidental fees when my previous $100 haven’t been released yet. Why in the hell would I allow them to put $200 hold on my account. Hotel is a big joke I do not recommend and will not return anytime I am in Houston visiting.

Good 6.0
Just because its modern doesn't mean its the best
We got a good rate for the area at $96 a night counting tax so I was very happy until I realized I had to pay $18 a day to park. Everything that was listed that the hotel had was true however they definitely overstated their amenities. They did have an indoor pool however the indoor pool was 3 1/2 feet deep and probably the size of two Jacuzzis. They did have in-room coffee however two single coffee bags 2 coffee creamers 4 packs of sugar and 1 bottle of water was provided for a two-day stay for two adults if you wanted extra you had to go downstairs and pay for it at the recharging shop. The recharging shop had prices higher than any Airport terminal or Cruise Line terminal I've ever been in. The room was small but there was a great utilization of space it was very comfortable for two adults for 2 days however I would not want to spend a week in that room. The bed linens and towels smelled wonderfully clean and the bed was very comfortable to relax on but it was extremely soft mattress and if you're used to a firm mattress you're going to wake up with back pain if you're used to a soft mattress you're going to be in heaven. The front desk was helpful in recommending restaurants providing a list of local eateries in categories like breakfast steaks burgers.... our experience was overall pleasant everything was clean, adequate and efficient but I could have gone to La Quinta Inn payed the same amount and gotten a lot more extras like breakfast a larger room and free parking.

Poor 2.0
Fabulous area But there was a scary, illicit vibe
I would not recommend that a single woman arrive here dark.I picked this hotel because I thought since it was in a safe neighborhood. Hello! We arrived at 10 p.m. Friday, June 29. The lady at check in was not at the desk. She was in a stairwell dealing with some thin, single, restless looking guys. Outside in the parking area there was a fancy looking black car with long spikes on every tire with some restless looking dudes inside it. There were several skinny, dead-eyed guys roaming hungrily around the parking area who made us feel what were they after exactly? Were they waiting for something? Taking a bead on us? I wanted to get out of their sights as soon as possible. There was a carload of single men smoking in a car parked beside the hotel with restless young males drifting to and fro this car. My husband dropped me off to register and went out to park the car. Upstairs in the lot there was another single male drifting around watching my husband like he was casing him. Meanwhile the woman at check in seemed to be checking me in while she dealt with a bunch of these rough-cut customers on the side. I had the feeling she was running the hotel and some other nefarious enterprise under the table. I'm glad I don't own this hotel. I have the feeling that more is going on than I want to know about. I'm glad I didn't arrive without my husband. I hope the owner has video so he can check out what these guys are doing. They bear watching.

In the Galleria area, breakfast subpar
We loved this hotel. Outside of the property is nice and clean. I wish they would have a sign from the Westheimer Rd side that says to turn on Yorktown because that's where the garage and entrance is. Was immediately greeted by front desk and checked in quickly. Elevators were a bit confusing once we got to our room. They didn't explain to us. The room was nice and clean, updated and modern. The ceiling (although not a big issue) had many disrepairs which were questionable. Bed was comfortable and shower was nice. It had a small fridge underneath the bathroom sink which was a plus for us. Breakfast was the biggest "OH HELL NO" for us. We already knew upon booking that it wasn't free - however, the quality of the breakfast compared to the price was not comparable at all. We ordered 2 omelettes with bacon and our cheese of choosing. When we received the plates, we got a one egg omelette with bacon and cheese stuffed inside. It had seemed like the omelette was prepackaged, and she stuffed it with processed cheese and small pieces of bacon. The omelette seemed it was meant for a sandwich with egg - but the size was big enough for a 3 year old - not early 30s adult. we paid $9 per omelette only to be highly disappointed and had to eat somewhere else. If you don't plan on eating breakfast here, then this hotel would be recommended because of the rates and how nice and clean everything was. But if you get really hungry in the mornings - would not recommend.

Very good 8.0
I've stayed at this location before. I wish there were better options in the dining area as it was strictly fried bar food, different than menus Ive seen at other locations. There is a menu to order from their partnered restaurant is pretty pricey. One fo the nights there wasn't food available in WXYZ because they lacked the staff to provide fare, which I understand can be out of their control. Overall the staff was excellent. I . wish the elevators were air conditioned, they can get pretty hot. Door Dash was a must for dinner options.
