Great value in a super location
Loved the location, staff where very helpful. I’d stay in again and recommend to others. Would have been nice to have some fresh fruit at breakfast. Had to move bed away from window as it was quite a draft.

Great location.
The hotel staff could do with improving their English. Didn’t know where the nearest ATM was. Helpful when they could understand.

Great place in the middle of a buzzing area!
The hotel is about 12 minutes walk from Shinjuku Est (East exit) and is 2 minutes away from the "red light district" which has the girl/guy hosting etc. It is not dangerous - when the guys come up to you asking you to come to their bar, just say no. You will also be in the area for the ROBOT SHOW!! (which is fantastic) The hotel room is small for western standards but your only going to be in the room to sleep! The bed (we had a double) was massive, and the bathroom is excellent with a shower and a big deep bath. The toiletries were EXCELLENT! They provided everything including sponges, tooth brushes and shower gel. We did not need to bring anything with us at all. Rooms were cleaned everyday. - Breakfast, this is delivered to your room and consists of sandwiches and a ommelette and meat dish. Not great for vegans but there are some vegetarian sandwiches. Would not recommend the hotel with those with children because of the breakfast. We would stay again. :)

Turn off the red light
First off, anybody considering staying here should know straight off that this hotel is situation in the Tokyo's sleazy red light district. For transport connections it's very good but if you have any sensitivity to being approached 20 times a night with offers of strip clubs and "room services", steer very clear. I'm quite thick skinned so it didn't bother me too much but otherwise, it my rating could have been much lower. The staff are polite but I didn't need them much other than for check-in. The breakfast is a joke.. Not even up to inflight meal standard but there are hundreds of great food options in the area and thousands in Tokyo. The rooms are small and dated as is par for the local course in Tokyo but the bathroom here was excellent. The main Shinjuku station is walkable and smaller stations are close by. Overall, I'd say my stay here was satisfactory. Nothing great. Nothing terrible (unless you hate the vibe of red light districts). In future, I'd probably opt for a less seedy area.
