8/10 Very good

I loved the motel vibe, and the scenery is astonishing. It’s a truly spectacular valley to be based in. I did a great walk/jog up the mountain on a trail directly above the hotel. My twin room was small and very basic, but it was clean and tidy, with a nice shower. No bells and whistles, but it’s great value for the location.

6/10 Good

Very minimalist small room with thin partition walls and on view to everyone from the carpark. Bed was comfortable, shower worked decently, it was clean and there was a kettle. Parking is no problem either. If you want a cheap bed for the night and nothing more then this will work for you - as long as you don't have neighbours making any noise.

We stayed in the family apartment which was a bedroom downstairs, a bedroom upstairs, a bathroom with shower and we had a small corner kitchen that had everything you could need. In a beautiful area, so quiet and peaceful, loved the scenery. Great communication off the owners and a warm welcome. Would recommend and would stay again

We really enjoyed our stay at snowdonia mountain lodge. Location was great with amazing views on mountains surrounding the accomodation and nearby town that had everything we needed. We mainly stayed there to climb Snowdon which was not very far and we were lucky to have a great weather to do this. We stayed in en-suite family room which had everything we needed and was exactly as described and pictured on the website. The room was very clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and there was a kettle, cups and plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets. There was a communal kitchen and dining room nearby which was handy although it would be really nice to have a mini fridge in the room especially in the hot weather we recently had. Parking was brilliant as it was just outside our room/bungalow entry. The staff at the site were really friendly and helpful. We were shown around the site when we arrived and they recommended places to see which was nice. The booklet in room was very informative as well and had great recommendations. Coffee at nearby camp site was amazing. The accomodation itself has a really good feel to it. The atmosphere is really peaceful. We stayed there three nights but that was enough for us relax and recharge. We felt really good in there and we would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Snowdonia. Thank you to all staff at the site for a great stay.

What an amazing place this is!! Not only is the setting beautiful, the rooms are spotless and spacious but most of all the staff are just fabulous!! We travelled as a family to stay whilst my 11 yr old son completed the National 3 peaks and they were judt amazing with him! They made a fuss and were so wonderfully welcoming!! We will most definitely return soon ❤️

We had a great 3 days staying at Snowdonia Mountain Lodge. The location is beautiful, perfect for walking and exploring. Ned was really helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The family room was comfortable and had everything we needed, we also had use of the communal lounge and kitchen which was well equipped and we used for breakfast. We’d definitely come back!

I met Ned and he was gracious, kind and helpful. The room was clean, but the heating took a bit to figure out and if you are not used sleeping in a twin bed, go for a room with a bigger bed. The location is incredible and my room was clean. Lastly this a Yoga school/getaway, so there was no tv in the room. It was YouTube for a bit, but my mind finally settled to enjoy the setting

pleasantly suprised

Stay here for 2 nights while we did the walk up snowdonia .The room was basic no frills but i wasn't expecting anything other than that. very clean and tidy. beds were comfortable, good shower and the use of a kettle and a kitchen unit on site which has everything you need. the staff were very helpful with local knowledge and tips on where to go etc. last but not least is the amazing views of the countryside. we must have said wow , look at that atleast 50 times. beautiful place . would love to come bsck and do it again. maybe not the climb up snowdonia because my bodys still feeling the aches and pains. well worth the visit. thanks Ned for you kindness and help

6/10 Good

The location of this lodge is absolutely outstanding. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, and it’s a fantastic base for exploring the area. If you’re visiting for hiking or simply to enjoy nature, the setting is hard to beat. Unfortunately, the most important part of any hotel stay is getting a good night’s sleep, and this is where the lodge fell short. The mattress was not very comfortable, and the wooden bed frame squeaked every time you moved. For a room costing £108 per night, I expected a much better-quality bed and mattress. I would happily pay a few pounds more if it meant having a solid bed and a comfortable mattress. People usually stay somewhere like this either because they have a long day of hiking ahead of them or because they need to recover after a day in the mountains. A good night’s sleep is essential, and unfortunately we didn’t get one. In fact, we changed our plans because we were too tired to go hiking the next day. We stayed elsewhere the following night and only climbed the mountain after finally getting some proper rest. The lodge does offer useful facilities, such as a shared kitchen, and those were appreciated. However, for me, those extras don’t make up for the lack of comfort. The primary purpose of booking accommodation is to sleep well, and unfortunately this lodge did not deliver on that. Overall, while the location is excellent, I wouldn’t stay here again unless

Lovely little place to stay, communal kitchen to prepare food, friendly staff and good beds. Only thing to notice is no products for showering and thin walls. 4/5 stars for a great stay.
