My 7yo son and I had such a lovely stay at Hotel Edelweiss in Mürren. The views from our room were absolutely breathtaking, and it was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful area. The fondue on the terrace was a real highlight, as were the wonderful breakfasts. Most of all, the staff were incredibly warm, kind and welcoming — they really made us feel at home. A truly special place with beautiful views, delicious food and the loveliest people. We’re so grateful for our stay and would love to return! ❤️🏔️

This hotel and our room and their service was impeccable. So impressed with every detail of every area, including our room. Unbelievable view from our room. After 5 weeks in Europe, this hotel is at the very top. Husband and wife owners are totally committed to their guests. Wow! The included breakfast was the best ever. Hotel Edelweiss was a great place for our four-night stay in Murren. Staff were helpful in recommending the more intensive hikes we were looking for (shout out to the gentleman working breakfast and the front desk), and the views from the hotel are unbelievable. Given the price point and how terrific everything else was, the downsides for us were the freshness and quality of the breakfast. The only "hot" food item is the option to boil an egg yourself--I don't mind the limited hot item menu, but the hotel could at least boil the eggs for us to save us the 10 extra minutes it takes to do so on our own. Also, the breads and fruit were not always fresh (or were overripe), the muesli was the least tasty among all of our stays in Switzerland, and the yogurt was consistently runny (unlike at other stays). Despite my comments on food, I would consider staying here again if we return to Murren.

This really is a large bed and breakfast in terms of the family atmosphere, friendly staff and community vibe. Murren is THE town to stay in and this is THE place to soak in all that the Alps has to offer with a very reasonable price point (especially for Switzerland).
