Standards have well and truly droped
We visit liverpool 4-5 times a year and always try to stay at the hilton where we have found it to be pretty good, location is perfectly central and generally a good stay. On this occasion it was polar opposite. Upon arrival after booking a double king room we where allocated an accessible room. The bedding had a large hole in it which you would expect much higher standards. We proceeded with our evening and the bar staff as always where brill. Next morning we where woken up by the cleaner at 9.00am. She did knock but by the time i had got up she was on the way in. Most hotels generally wait until you check out before trying to clean your room. Again once your up your up and a planned lie in ruined As this was an accessible room the shower was above the bath. This one in particular was damaged and water wouldn’t drain away from the bath as the plug had jamed close. The tiling was ropy with the jointing all cracked and filthy. Upon checkout i feel my complaint was handled poorly and quite sarcastic by the checkout clerk. O she shouldn’t have done that doesn’t make up for a very expensive and poor quality room and stay Room 325 needs a look at and an urgent upgrade if this hotel wants to keep hold of their costumers All in all a pretty poor stay and i cant see us returning any time soon

Beware; things go missing from your room!
A birthday treat we were really looking forward to our stay but left jaded and disappointed. Reception was woefully understaffed on a Saturday afternoon however Chelsea was a dream. Yukky carpets, an eyewateringly expensive mini bar, not enough towels, skimpy pillows and a very noisy room which meant little sleep. We returned from our trip the next day at 4pm to find the room still hadn't been serviced. After requesting we went to the cafe while it was being done. On return I got ready to go out again to find my make up palette was missing. I rang down but no one answered (natch) so I went in person to report it. The attitude was quite frankly startling; I was made to feel like a criminal! Chasing it up over the next 20 hours I spoke to 4 different people who assured me their staff were trustworthy, had I checked everywhere and did I even bring it? Insulting. What woman goes away for a special weekend without her make up? I asked if it could have been scooped up with the towels or rubbish. Next day I was told CCTV cameras showed the maid exiting the room holding nothing. Er, the palette was about the size of half a novel, easily hidden intentionally or not. Filming was happening all around and I think the staff were more concerned about that than customer care. Michael in the exec lounge deserves a mention as he was an absolute star, so top marks to him but the Hilton overall? Not luxury and certainly not secure,The whole fiasco totally ruined our first romantic weekend away

Very good 8.0
Nice hotel, but football forced upon you!
Great hotel for location, ease of car parking in Liverpool 1 and comfort of rooms. However disappointed that the hotel bar in the lobby on a Saturday evening has been turned into a "Sports Bar" environment with large screen projecting football prompting a small number of drunken individuals in the bar to shout at the game. The hotel also had private parties on which was not an issue but caused delays in obtaining drinks at the bar. No other complaint other than the atmosphere in the bar was not in keeping with the Hilton name. Sorry not a football lover!!

Made our 6th Wedding Annversary even more special!
Stayed here for our 6th wedding anniversary. Were given complimentary parking as my wife is disabled just outside the hotel doors which was a lovely touch. Also received a little cake in the room with happy anniversary in chocolate which was also a lovely thing to do. Room was spotless, bed was extremely comfy and extra pillows made it even better. The water was piping hot. Everything about this stay was brilliant. We enjoyed cocktails in the Pima restaurant in the evening but prior to that had drinks from there. The lady who served us even assisted in taking the drinks to our room on the 4th floor. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Cannot thank everyone here enough for making our wedding anniversary an even more special occasion.

Fantastic stay
Wonderful stay. Rachel in the bar made our stay so welcoming and friendly. That girl should be a manger . Excellent at her job . Would recommend the pancakes to be freshly made at breakfast . They were like packet bought pancakes. They were not nice and had to be paid at a separate charge. Other than this small thing we had a wonderful time .
