Clean and comfortable room. Easy check-in and great front desk staff. The location is perfect for visiting Hillcrest restaurants and clubs. Unfortunately, the coffee machine was not working, so.. no coffee during my two days/nights. All-in-all, a great stay. I'll be back!

Stay was pretty great. Hotel is fantastic value for money and in a great location in Hillcrest, walking distance to grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, bars, balboa park, etc. Only issue is that the water pressure in the shower was really poor but otherwise everything was great, all the staff were super friendly.

Great hotel, the location is very nice there is a lot of good food in the area and grocery stores. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very clean. I have stayed at the same hotel 2 years in a row for the San Diego Marathon, and each time I have been pleased. Parking is safe and convenient, but a bit on the pricy side.

Staff is very nice and helpful! Close to restaurants and food and a mile to Balboa Park in a pretty safe neighborhood. Facility is a bit tatty and needs some updates and paint. It is right next to the freeway and a busy street (University) with construction, so noisy. Air conditioning is not central air - each room has a stand alone unit that is Very Noisy. But, at night the 'white noise' was better than the constant freeway traffic. There isn't really a drop off in front - 1-2 cars can pull up in front of an electric gate to the paid parking, but that blocks egress, so you gotta hop in and out fast!

I really enjoyed our stay. We stayed at the freeway noise room and weren’t really bother by the noise. The ac covered all the car noise and we had a pleasant stay. There’s a lot of options of walking restaurants and markets close by. Price was unbeatable.
