Room was spacious and clean. Perfect location. Hotel generally felt run down. Did try to contact hotel in relation to a special celebration, but did not get a reply.

6/10 Good

We booked here due to its location and it was one of the most cost effective options. It was clean if a little dated. The only downside was the member of staff who was living in the room below, blatantly smoking wacky backy outside of the room and then waking us up at 4am talking on their phone outside and in the hallway. We did mention this on checking out but the member of staff didn’t seem to be very senior or know what to make of it. Again the room was clean and the location was great and other staff were friendly and helpful :)

Very welcoming and helpful staff. The hotel is in a brilliant spot right in the middle of the village. The car park is small and works on a first come first served basis. The hotel itself is basic but does the job adequately. It could do with a refresh as it was very "tired" in places. Breakfast was plentyful with lots of choice. It was expensive for a one night stay but I suppose it's the location puts a premium on the price.

We arrived to find the main restaurant was being refitted after a major flood from a burst pipe but the staff coped well and it didn't impact are stay at all. In general the hotel needs a bit of TLC but the bed was clean and comfy which was all we really needed for a night.

Dinner at the hotel was underwhelming.. Very standard pub grub and we had to get our drinks from the bar. Karaoke just outside the hotel went on until 11pm. But breakfast was much better - definitely gets a very good.

Fabulous welcome from staff on arrival and great service throughout our stay! Obviously a bit dated in parts but that’s in character with it’s listed status . Great location for the town with shops and restaurants all around.
