Very convenient if travelling without a car. It's an old building but Greene King have made the best of it, with individual touches you don't often find with chains. The breakfasts are excellent and the staff very helpful. We had quite a large room with a half-tester bed for a very reasonable price including breakfast.
If the weather is cool the double glazing keeps out most of the street noise, but even with June outside temperatures around 16C the room was notably warm. I wouldn't stay if a heatwave is forecast. I expect it's cosy in winter.
