Great location & staff
Property in a great location with friendly staff. Our room was in the “modern” section. Nice room, good size, very clean & comfortable. (One small opportunity was the blanket was too warm for our ideal sleeping comfort, even with her the ac turned down to 19) Our room rate included breakfast and we enjoyed it every dry morning at the hotel. Good, fresh selection with great staff.

Very disappointed, will not return
The people at the front speak were so unfriendly but, more importantly, incompetent. I booked a cab to the train station via the front desk but they never made the reservation. I missed my train and my flight. Bad and costly. Also, air conditioning did not work properly. I will not stay there again.

We had a great stay. Every member of staff from front desk to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. Room was plenty big enough for us and loved having a mini fridge. Only downside was my husband went to use the treadmill in the gym but couldn’t because someone was having a massage. Overall a great stay.

Poor customer service in an elegant environment
This hotel emanates a sense of luxury and opulence. The bedroom that we had was a deluxe room and we cannot say enough about how beautiful the exposed beams and chandelier were. Staff overall were not friendly and service oriented. Finally our 5th night in the hotel, the air conditioning unit leaked through the lights in the bathroom, and flooded the bathroom floor. We switched it off, removed all of our toiletries from the bathroom and called the hotel. At 3:30 am we had someone in our room on a ladder, and a bucket placed on the vanity to catch water. We assisted in cleaning up the water with towels. A highly disturbed night to say the least, and contrary to a peaceful and restful sleep that one pays a hotel for. The hotel’s response was a partial compensation for that one night. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and in most luxury hotels customer service is second to none. This hotel disappointed on many levels. We would have been satisfied with a full refund for that one night, in which we were unable to get a complete rest, as well as respectful acknowledgement of our discomfort (management was dismissive). We also believe we saved the hotel thousands in insurance costs by securing the problem and assisting in remediation, before it flooded the bedroom and damaged the carpeting. If you can choose a different hotel in Bruges do so, there are many beautiful options. We shall not return to this hotel.
