I think that this is probably the most practical hotel in the area. It is located just 2 min of walking distance from the Opera House. Other hotels might have 5 star posh environment but the Living hotel is really well organized in many different ways.Firstly, me and my relative needed two separate beds in a room. The only place that offered us the queen size + the sofa at a very reasonable price in the area was the Living hotel. The room itself is spacious, partitioned in a rational manner. There is also a kitchenette as a separate room incert w/mini fridge, stove, plates, silverware &cooking utensils. Separate dining area divides the kitchenette from the hall. Bathroom is spacious enough w a deep bah tub, toilet & а bidet. Furniture is somewhat outdated but clean neat & pleasant. Every morning the hotel staff brings in 2 complimentary beers and bottled water to your room. There is an espresso coffee maker in the lobby with a variety of settings for a delicious cup whenever you please - complimentary. Breakfast is delicious & fresh every morning. The main advantage of the hotel is the location. The subway Karlzplats station is right there, go down the steps and you will find a variety of coffee shops( Starbucks, Ströck etc ) close to the hotel underground. The main walking street that leads from Vienna Opera House to Stefanplatz is 2 min of walking distance away from the hotel. You will find a great deal of shops and restaurants around. Bus tours are right there, not far.

Good 6.0
Nice place, shame the service was so poor
A lovely hotel in an ideal location. Great building and interesting and spacious rooms, ideal for exploring Vienna. The only problem with the hotel is the staff. We slept badly on our first night and worked out this was due to the single, very soft, pillow. At reception in the morning we ask for a second pillow and were told it would be arranged. We returned from a day out and found no additional pillow so reminded reception on our way to dinner that evening. Came back, no pillow. This pattern of reporting and failing to deliver continued every day. Every member of staff either agreed or explained that there were no pillows but there might be tomorrow. Not only did we sleep badly the staff did not care at all, on second or third time of asking. We were treated like we were in a budget hotel but not at budget hotel prices. There is a clear staff and/or management problem in this hotel. At check out, I was asked about my stay. I told them and even then there was no apology or offer to take a drink off our bill or anything, just total contempt for the hotel guests.

Very good 8.0
Awesome Location and Great Service
Location is perfect for sightseeing. Approx 1 minute walk to Opera House; Approx 5 to maybe 10 minute walk to Hofburg Palace and St. Stephen's Cathedral and 30 second walk to underground to Schonbrunn Palace or anywhere in the city! We did however have noise during the night (jack hammer at 3am), but there's lots of construction in the city. Service - Edward was Excellent! Very friendly, professional and helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations! Amenities - Nice - not incredible, but not bad and the location and service were great. Wonderful free unlimited supply of water bottles - not complaining, but great if still water was an option too:) Suggestions - We never received our +VIP Access Hotel Free Bottle of Sparkling Wine - Add a toilet to the master bath - it's just a tub/shower, sink and urinal (why a urinal and not a toilet?) It has a 1/2 bath w/a sink and toilet in the Executive Double Apartment, Kitchenette - Add more pillows - only have one pillow/person and mine was flat and lumpy. Asked next day for more pillows and they were fine

Excellent Front Desk Staff
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Vienna. Location is excellent, only steps away to drug store and supermarket. Most of the sightseeing points are walking distance. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. We started with our trip without any luggages for three days since we missed our connecting flight and our luggages were left behind at connecting airport. We arrived late after 9 and all the shops were closed. The staffs were really helpful by providing all we they could offer to us to get through the night. They kept calling the airline to track our luggages to make sure they would arrive ASAP. They delivered to our room once the luggages were arrived. Thank you to all staff there especially Edward!!! This is definitely our first choice when we return to visit Vienna again.

Exceptional 10.0
Our suite was simply amazing, and the family enjoyed their stay after a long day, and felt quite rested for the next day. The city view from the top floor is unforgettable. There were a couple of pluses that added to our experience: a sausage stand just around the corner where we had one of the quintessential Vienna institution, which the kids loved. We also had the benefit of a very nice man, who took a few minutes to explain how you're supposed to eat wurst like a local. On top of that, it was my birthday, and the staff presented me with a small bottle of sparkling wine, which I gladly had at the end of the day. The staff at the hotel was very helpful in this regard, but nothing beats not running into parking tickets in the first place. Aside from that, I would definitely stay at this hotel over and over again.
