Not bad for a budget hotel
The hotel rooms need updating but were comfortable and generally clean - although the toilet did smell a bit and the bathroom door was very dilapidated.

Great Secret Deal & High Standard of Accommodation
We booked this through a secret deal on for just £38 for new year's eve. We didn't expect the Ritz but we also didn't expect what we did find. The accommodation is adjoining the pub, but not above it, so it was quiet. The room was very spacious with a huge vanity unit/desk as well as a table and 2 dining chairs. There was loads of open wardrobe space and an en suite bathroom. This had a bath and a shower, as well as free soap and body wash. The main room also had tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer and trouser press. You could control the electric heater yourself so it was toasty warm. Breakfast could be bought on the morning: £3.99 for continental (the fresh fruit salad with melon, pineapple, apple, orange and grapes was delicious) or £7.99 for a full English. We were delighted that we could come and go as we pleased, as we spent new year's eve with friends and would be returning to the hotel after 1 am. Oh, and there were lots of free parking spaces. We regularly meet up with friends in this area and shall certainly be using this hotel/pub again. Great value, great facilities and great service.

Very Good8.0
We stayed for new year and had a good evening, despite it being eventful caused by other guests, the staff handled it excellently. Our daughter loved the softplay which was open late. The only thing which let our stay down was the noise from the people staying in the room above us, we can only assume they had a Fitbit for Christmas and were low on their step count. However the floor was very creaky which kept us awake and we wonder whether it would be possible to improve the sound proofing perhaps? Also breakfast was a little disappointing, especially as it was same price for a child as it is for an adult.
