Good
The owners of this B&B were lovely. Very friendly upon our arrival, full of valuable local information and overall very welcoming!! The reason for my overall ok review is due to the beds in our room and the price for each night. The beds/mattresses although very clean with nice linens, have seen some use and were not comfortable. Compared to our stay in Dublin and Dingle, our room was twice the price each night and our other accomodations were more comfortable.

Great Location – Good Value
This hotel is located in an excellent location, with Eyre Square only a short walking distance. Everybody there was friendly and went the extra step to accommodate my needs, including allowing me to have an early breakfast so I could catch the 730 AM train. Plus, they made me a cup of coffee upon my early arrival. Even though it was located on the street, it was quiet, since I didn’t face directly out onto the room. I ranked this a 4, with the expectation that they will fix the one major problem that I encountered. That is, there was an issue using Android phones with their Internet setup. That’s something that has to get fixed. I’ve never had any problems with any other wireless networks. Being able to use either one of the two major phone types just comes with the territory in today’s world. That just simply has to work. Exceptional
Charming convenience
Booked two rooms for two nights in June. The hosts were wonderful, and the rooms were very clean and modern. Breakfast was on par with major hotel chains (e.g. Holiday Inn Express), although it cost 8 euro pp. The location was great - just a 10 min or so walk to downtown Galway, which has a truly wonderful walking/eating/shopping area. This was one of our favorite cities in Ireland, and we definitely recommend St. Judes. We were a family of 5, with children 14, 12, and 5. For those driving, parking on site is free and readily available.

Exceptional
This place is charming, in a convenient location, and the A++ staff was friendly and efficient! We chose this last minute at random and are so glad we did. Rooms are very clean and fresh, and have all the essentials. I always comment on the comfort of the bed and pressure of the shower in all my reviews—beds were extremely comfortable and the shower great. We loved everything and I will only add these comments should this situation apply to you: Rooms/bathrooms are tiny and may not seem adequate space if you are a larger person. Our rooms were in a nearby building and on the 2nd floor. If you have any disabilities, this could be a challenge to get upstairs especially with luggage (perhaps elevators are available, idk but don’t think so). Lastly I usually like to watch a little tv to help me fall asleep. This place had the best tv channel selection of all of my days in Ireland. Location-location-location: this place was near the rugby field so there were lots of people walking past us going to the game the day we were there (fun to see everyone all dressed up in their team colors). GREAT convenience to the pubs, restaurants, and shops in Galway. We had 3 women traveling together and felt safe walking back to St Jude’s from the pub on Saturday night.

Convenient & Good value for Galway
We had 4 beds in our room so could fit lots of people. Clean and modern decor. The manager Seán, helped us book a specific tour that we thought might be done for the season. Very friendly & good food. Walking distance to Galway town . However, many rooms of St.Judes is used like a dorm for college students from Sept-May which we didn’t know so the breakfast time was extremely busy with teenagers. But they didn’t interfere in our stay at all. As I say, the manager was really friendly & helpful.
