We had a fantastic time here. The room was big and comfortable and the resort was beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens. A great place to relax and unwind.
Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety, catering for a wide range of dietary requirements. The various restaurants offered decent food and a good option if not wanting to venture out in the evening.
The staff were all fantastic throughout.

Me and my husband have stayed there for 4 nights and I can't say a single bad word about the hotel. The room was amazing, stuff very nice (we even got a packed breakfast to take away because we had to leave early!) and the view from the room's balcony is priceless. Highly recommended.

This was our first trip to Madeira, and we found the hotel lived up to our expectations in all ways. We were unable to have a sea view, but looking out from our 18th floor room across part of the town, which was beautifully lit, and the mountains, was so lovely that we didn't close our curtains, just so we could look out if we awoke in the night. Only 18 rooms, all clean and new in a purpose built extension, with large open stairways and lobbies filled with art work. We have stayed in Funchal many times and Pestana Promenade is one of the best hotels for accommodation and location. There are many excursions from this area as well as local buses which stop very close to the hotel and take you anywhere on the island including an airport service which is great if you are travelling light. The cable car is an enjoyable trip to the top of the island with the chance to visit the renowned botanical gardens.

Had two weeks stay. Loved Madeira ....hotel was perfect. Did my research regarding the reviews before booking, and went for the B&B only. Some guest that had paid for HB were not happy with the dinners not much choice and not too good! Not many guest for dinner around 23 people! So might be the reason. Kettle and cups provided in your room Take your own tea and coffee as they only give you, enough for the 1st day.
The apartment was in a very central location, only a few moments away from the main shopping mall in Funchal, and coffee shop almost on the doorstep. There was a kitchenette, washing machine and ironing board provided, and all useful utensils provided (even sachets of oil for using the frying pan).
