We booked a family room for a weekend trip to watch the football match, checkin was great, room was great and very clean. The hotel is nicely located. overall very positive. The downside is breakfast, The staff at breakfast are really good however the organisation/design is shocking. There is hot food on one side and the accompanying hot food on another side of quite a cramped area. In the middle is 'make your own' waffles. Therefore everyone crosses over with rapidly cooling half plates of food while people in the middle grow ever more frustrated waiting to make a waffle. That is all easily remedied by applying common sense to the layout, they just need to think how you build a breakfast. The main issue we had with breakfast was the plates and utensils they are simply not clean which is a basic of any eatery. items run out very early and no-one puts a sign out so you wait for waffle mix when there isn't any. While on day 1 someone was complaining about it, Front desk staff apologised and said they will remedy it immediately, next day it is exactly the same. Therefore they aren't really solving the basic problems. The excuse of breakfast is complimentary doesn't hold up as it is clearly part of the price of your stay. Those ingredients and staff wages are paid from somewhere.
Overall a nice clean modern short stay hotel let down by a poor frustrating breakfast experience that is easily fixable.
Great professional staff that must loath doing the breakfast shift.
