    Cozy and warm
The hotel is gorgeous, very clean and well organised. The hosts take care of every little detail and they are very helpful. Good breakfast served and great location. I felt really confortable and I would love to come back someday.

    Great breakfast
The breakfast was great. The room was clean and warm. Location is easy access. But we need to pay for wifi. We have to ring the bell of hotel door and wait until someone come to open the door.

    Solid budget choice
Hotel Phoenix was a good choice, but it has only 9 rooms and run like a bed and breakfast. It has very limited service. Their strict 4pm check in time was inconvenient. The front door is always locked and they won't answer if you come after hours. Breakfast was good.

    Small Hotel in Reykjavik, Iceland
This was really a B&B with private bathrooms. The Owners were very attentive and helpful, providing 24 hour service. Breakfast was included, and was quite substantial. Coffee and tea include, with refills provided without asking. It is a 3 story walk up. The Owners brought the bags to your room and brought them down when leaving. We were there during warm days, and there is no air conditioning. That, combined with small room windows, left the room warm at night. Perhaps the offer of a fan would make it more comfortable. Location was perfect for walking and getting buses, etc. Would stay there again without hesitation.

    This Place Needs Different Management
Nice place with a decent location, but the owner is not very accommodating. He makes it clear that things can only be done on his terms. Plus he is a little bit greedy, wanting to charge 5 euro per day for access to his wifi, and he wanted to charge my wife 2 euro for a cup of hot water (we had our own cups, tea bags and sweetener, so all we needed is water). You would think that if anything should be no charge in Iceland, it should be a cup of hot water.
