I was disappointed that the hotel was advertised as having an outdoor pool, but this was closed until 3 days into my trip

    Poor 2.0
    Profiteering from football events
Outrageous price of £1500 for 2 nights, profiteering from the champions league final. The hotel wasn't even showing the game. Our triple room wad cramped with no walking space between the temporary bed and other 2 beds. For £1500, you would expect breakfast thrown in but alas no. Our room wasn't even serviced to make the beds or change towels.

    Poor 2.0
Upon check-in we were offered an upgrade at a cost of €48 a night, which we declined. The room given to us was small, no view (except for a fire escape), smelled of drains, damp and stale cigarettes. Bathroom was 1960's style. The advertised rooms on are completely different and are misleading. There are obviously two parts to the hotel and ours was in the older building. I blame for misleading advertising as well. This is by no means a 4* - a 2* star at a push. Worst hotel ever stayed in Madrid.

    Fabulous location
Location was fantastic. Walking distance to everything...

    Good 6.0
OK but wouldn't return unless they refurbished.
The hotel room was very tatty, no soundproofing. Toilet seat loose and cracked, bidet cracked, shower dripped and shower head didn't stay up so you had to hold it. Water leaked all over floor so one had to place towels on the floor to prevent flooding.(All architrave was rotten as a result so wasn't a recent thing) Generally the hotel lacked compassion in terms of maintenance. In terms of roof space by the was small and always packed. If this is a 4 star hotel....I'm Santa Clause. I'd say 3 Star no more.Seriously, we ventured to other hotels of equal rating and they were all far superior. All in all I would say it could be a nice hotel but needs a lot of money modernising.
