Exceptional
Checked In and after Going to our room there was a bit of a damp smell in the room my partner is asthmatic so we asked to change rooms, we received a free upgrade to a fantastic room with a view into the city, hotel staff were very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful, The hotel itself is only a 5 mins stroll to the hydro and would definitely stay here again.

Poor
Allocated room 414, stained carpet, burst mattress and what looked like a massive heating pipe outside the window which started at 6am and sounded like an aeroplane taking off. Terrible experience.

OK
We were on a 2 night stay Saturday-Monday. We were given an end room. Large bedroom but small (very small) bathroom. The little extras always make a holiday. Unfortunately, one or two things were amiss. Free coffee/tea sugar, no milk. No soap over the sink even though dispenser there. Also a tissue dispenser with one tissue in it. The bathroom was very cramped which we could put up with but the shower was luke warm on our first night. Sunday it was cold but Monday red hot???. Used kettle water to shave. The positives were a fridge in the room(we bought some milk). large spacious, clean bedroom. It's position in the more vibrant affluent part of Glasgow, nice bar area and friendly staff. It's a strange set up food wise, the Bukharah Indian restaurant also does your breakfast. The communication between the hotel and the restaurant was a bit lapsed. We paid at the reception and it wasn't communicated somehow but the Restaurant staff were obliging. We booked a table before we arrived in the Bukharah. It was a wonderful meal and well worth it although the wine a tad expensive. The breakfast is buffet style with both hot and cold food to suit all. Great value a £10 a head. The hotel suited our needs as we were there for sightseeing and shopping.
