Just a short walk down the hill from the railway station, lots of places to eat in the area by the station. I thought some of the noise from the station would keep me awake, but it proved not to be a problem.

Very convenient for the train station and a short walk to a tram stop to get into the more touristy areas. Very welcoming receptionist. Clean, comfortable room with a good shower and air conditioning. Breakfast had a good selection of yoghurt, fruit, bread, cheese and pastries.

The Ibis Styles Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean is a well-price, practical and comfortable base, especially if you’re arriving from Paris via TGV. Less than a 10-minute walk from the main station, making arrival with luggage completely hassle-free. The nearby tram line gives you quick, direct access to the historic center of Bordeaux. Clean, functional, and modern rooms with a solid breakfast included. The immediate station neighborhood is busy, but the hotel itself is quiet and secure. Highly recommended for travelers prioritizing efficient logistics and seamless city access.

8/10 Very good

The staff was super friendly. If you have stayed in an Ibis Styles before, you know what to expect regarding the rooms and breakfast. Check, that they don't give you a room right beside the elavator, though. We would recommend to approach the hotel from the riverbank side, as the street leading to the main train station is kind of sketchy.

The hotel staffs were kind and helpful during my stay. Room was clean but too cold. The condition of shower was not perfect and took time to adjust the best condition.

8/10 Very good

Staff friendly and helpful. Very well located. It would be nice to have a kettle or hot water available. Cleaning staff didn't always do a good job. One day the room looked dirty especially the bathroom. The next day it was cleaned properly. We were getting ready to leave one day when they knocked on the door to clean the room. I asked they come back in 10 minutes. They refused. So I let them in. 30 minutes later they were still not done. Couldn't find the vaccum she said. This is annoying when you are in a city only for a few days and have planned many activities to make the most of your trip.

MOVE ON

Phone couldn’t have up on the wall. Ac didn’t work not even the fan setting. The room was HOT. When I mentioned to staff I was told it’s winter time no ac. So we had to have the window open right next to the train station and a loud street. Never again! No hot water either. Was told “well that never happens” what a joke of a hotel. Also very active construction next door. No sleep for two days!
