This guest house was brilliant. It is clean and well maintained. The rooms are set out lovely and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. Pitlochry is a lovely place to stay but I would recommend staying at this guest house. Easy to get to from the train station and up a hill a bit. I would definitely recommend and will book again if in the area.

Well situated to enjoy Pitlochry and the surrounding area. We booked for a trip to Festival Theatre - very easy to walk to, taking around 15 minutes. Mark, the owner welcomed us on arrival, and was very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The room was spotlessly clean, and bed very comfortable. Common areas were equally as clean, and presented to a high standard. Breakfast was great. We look forward to a return visit soon - and would recommend the accommodation to others. A big thank you to Mark and Helen - their attention to detail and service is excellent.

Our favorite stop of our ten day trip. We stayed in Pitlochry overnight and were surprised and delighted by the hospitality at Carra Beag Guest House. Mark and Helen went above and beyond to make it feel like home for all of their guests. No detail spared. We especially enjoyed the complimentary sherry and chocolate cake. Breakfast was delicious. The room was spotless and comfortable. Right in the center of town. An accessible car-park. And a beautiful view. We would recommend to everyone (and even have already arranged for our in-laws to visit this fall).

We, a young couple in our 20s, stayed here on the final night of a two week road trip which mainly comprised of camping and various cheap B&Bs. We stepped it up for this last night of the trip, treating ourselves to the ground floor double room (room 10) at the Carra Beag Guest House. We paid £180.18 for one night on a bank holiday weekend, Saturday the 29th of August, reduced to £37.14 after liberal use of Tesco vouchers and hotels.com discount. This included breakfast. We found the guest house easily and navigated the somewhat tight parking to check in at a comfortable time, given we were able to from 3pm. We were greeted by Helen who showed us around the Guest House, inviting us to try the complimentary chocolate cake and sherry available which we thoroughly enjoyed later in the evening. Further premium snacks and drinks, alcoholic or otherwise, were available in the guest's lounge room for a charge. We were shown to our ground floor room and were immediately impressed. The room was tastefully decorated with all appreciated subtle reminders of the gorgeous surroundings in which Pitlochry is situated. The bathroom was modern and had a delicious selection of The Highland Soap Company's finest offerings available for guest use. The shower was spacious and excellent. The room had a remotely controllable radiator which I imagine would be a treat during a winter visit. The inclusion of shower caps, slippers, hair straighteners and a hair drier did not go unnotticed. The bed w

Great stay. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Room is comfortable, clean and warm. The location is quiet but close to the main street to walk for dinner and explore. Felt right at home

I loved my stay. The new owners are really wonderful and are remodeling the entire place. I only wish I stayed more than one night! The breakfast was delicious and the dining room was lovely. The owners were very helpful and friendly when I arrived. They let me know the best spot in town for dinner. Pitlochry is a great little town and I highly recommend stopping there for a visit and definitely staying in this guest house! The location is also perfect. You can walk everywhere in town, yet the guest house is very quiet.

Stayed for a couple of days with my husband, mum and dad and small dog. From very start the owners made us feel so welcome. Showed us to our rooms which were of very high standard. Very comfortable bed and good quality linen and pillows. We were unable to eat in the dining area as we had our dog. The owner set up a lovely table at the window in the lounge for us which was very kind. The breakfast was amazing. On the first morning I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg which was delicious. On second morning I had the fried breakfast which was equally as good. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

The owner was welcoming carried my bag up the stairs, the breakfast was made with enjoyment, the site of the lodge was accessible to town, the beds were very uncomfortable, the pipes made a noise, the housekeeping was very poor, the carpet smelt of urine, the sheets were torn, the floor in the toilet was not clean. The lodge needs some tlc.
