Nice place to stay
This is family run hotel. Room was big enough, comfy bed. There is a sink in the room. The bathroom is actually a part of the room that has been sealed off with a sliding door so has carpet (apart from shower cubicle) which can get wet. The ventilation extractor could not handle the steam that well so could smell damp a bit. Toilet has not 100 % clean when we got in. Staff polite and helpful. Place is about 10-15 min to the train station which was helpful, a bit further to main market street.

Not that impressed
Very musty smell upon entry, no breakfast with the room, yet it's a B&B?????? at £85 for room only it was very over priced. IBIS would have been better quality and cheaper - even with a parking charge.

The Hotel was very dated and carpets in the Toilets a big no no. The host was helpful and welcoming.

Hot and stuffy
When I arrived at Hunters Lodge I had been upgraded to a double room instead of my single which was great, so I thought. It was at the top of the house with a velux window which only opened about 2 inches and as it was a very hot day the heat in the room was unbearable. Though it was a lovely room and a comfy bed I couldn't spend the evening in it as I had planned and had to go out until just before dark so that the room cooled down. It was a lovely hotel but don't stay in that room in the summer!
