Good value for money, but nothing special.
Quick & easy check-in. Rooms a little dated, but plenty of space, kitchenette, comfy firm beds, really powerful shower.
Breakfast ok, the usual options along with tasty bread/ pastries.
Star of the show was the omelette to order station, however, if you go too early or too late to the buffet, you’ve no chance, as the lady only did about an hour’s stint!
The outdoor pool was pleasant, with plenty of beds.
Youngest son wanted to use the gym, but was too much of a kerfuffle for the few days we were there. He was told to go next door to the shopping mall, tell them when he wanted to use it , then go back into hotel to access it. Strangest arrangement ever for working out!
Location pretty good; close to shops, bars & restaurants, then about 30 minute walk into Funchal.
Didn’t go into their bar; it looked a little depressing.
They let us use the showers & towels in the spa after we’d checked out, as flight home not until the evening.
Overall, good value for money, but not a particular memorable hotel.
