From the moment we walked into the lobby, everyone we met at iQ Hotel Roma was warm, kind, informative, and professional. To start, the hotel staff arranged for us to be picked up and dropped off from the airport in a private car (for quite a reasonable fee). The cars were clean and comfortable, the drivers friendly and courteous. Franco, our first contact with the front desk, gave us a map of the city, upon which he wrote clear, concise directions to the main sites we were interested in seeing, and the best ways to get there. When we lost the map the first day, he provided us with another, replete with helpful annotations. Knowing we would not be in the hotel room much, we reserved a small room - it was definitely small, but clean, light, and tidy. The bed, pillows and linens were incredibly comfortable (especially after long days of wandering the streets and sites of Rome). The water pressure in the shower was wonderful, the towels plush and thick. Each day, our room was refreshed to perfection, including bottles of water and cookies (gratis). We had everything we needed - a small refrigerator, a safe, a hairdryer...There was a microwave available, and even two washer/dryer sets (all of which came in handy). The food in the hotel restaurant was lovely, with a great selection of snacks and meals, as well as a lovely wine list. The wait staff were kind and obliging, warm and interactive. The location was great, right down the street from the Termini Station.

Hidden gem of a hotel
Bit of a surprise, this one. It's very close to Termini station (the main one in Rome) so don't fall for scam agents at the airport trying to sell you a shuttle you don't need - just get the Leonardo Express and save yourself time and money. We arrived and it's a rather odd coloured blue building, not much to look at from the outside and bit out of keeping with the rest of Rome. Greeted by a member of staff at reception, very polite and explained everything to us. Nice airy reception room with some iMacs for internet for guests and a printer for your boarding passes too. Room itself was very clean, nice and modern fittings, everything you would want and hope from a room. A real nice touch was there was no mini bar - just a fridge for you to use for your own items (they openly state this) and restock it with fresh water each day as well as the usual amenities. On most floors there are vending machines with drinks and food, that's probably why the bar isn't open 24/7 but the cost is very very reasonable, especially for a hotel. The Co-Living bar at the top is a bit hidden and not well marketed but it should be - great staff, very good value, lovely setting. This is also where breakfast is and that's very well priced too (under 10pp) for high quality food. You also have a small fitness room on the ground floor and some smoking balconies (which we found to be nice areas to sit for fresh air anyway). Very little to complain about if anything, would definitely go back here.

Don't say here cause I want the rooms to myself :)
This is quite possibly the best run Hotel I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at a lot of them. First, they keep this place clean like I have never seen anywhere and I like that. Since the last time I stayed there two years ago, they have updated their breakfast area and now it looks like an upscale chic restaurant. The other thing I saw was a room that said shower, so I asked what it was for and they told me if someone has a late fight and on the day of checkout, they can check thier luggage at the desk, explore the city during the day, and freshen up with a shower before leaving for thier flight. Why do other hotels not think of this stuff???? It also seems like they may have done some room freshening up since the last time I stayed because I told my wife that the room looked brand spanking new and neither of us remembered a mural above the bed or a glass desk top either. I used the taxi service they offered and the wait at the airport was quite long. The hotel said the service was unacceptable and the manger apologized and refunded my entire fair even though the taxi service was a seperate company and this is without me prompting any of it. That was unbelievable. The taxi service on the way back to the airport was much better and it's worth it because the white taxis have a tendency to rip you off. It happened to me on more than one occasion, so use the service the hotel offers.

Excellent hotel in good location
My wife and I stayed at the IQ hotel for 5-nights and it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a city break. The location is great, 10 min walk from Termini where the bus from Ciampino arrives/departs. The hotel is 2 mins walk from Republica Metro so easy to connect to Vatican etc and Colosseum, although we walked everywhere, Colosseum about 20 mins, St Peters about 40-mins. There is also good bus service 1 min walk on Nationale. The hotel is modern and teh rooms vary in size, we had booked a smaller room which was perfectly adequate. The room has everything you need and is spotlessly clean as is all of the hotel. New towels are supplied everyday. The facilities in the hotel are excellent, there is a Sauna and Hot Tub on roof ( we didn't use either). The roof has a great quiet are for sitting and having breakfast. The quality and the choice at breakfast was the best we have had. There is a bar/restaurant on the roof top open from 5pm - midnight and the prices are lower than other bars and restaurants. If you want a drink during day on roof top or for your room there is a bar vending machine at very reasonable prices. The staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful and will arrange anything you need or make reservations. If we return to Rome we will definitely stay here again.

We researched many before deciding on the IQ Hotel in Rome. We choose correctly, as IQ is in a great location close to all of the attractions we wanted to see: the Colosseum, Stadio Olympico, National Roman Museum, Galleria Borghese, and Trevi Fountain. All within walking distance, except the Stadium. Our check-in went smoothly, and we were able to get in our room. We were on the 2nd floor, and the room was clean and medium sized. Bed was comfortable and large, as were the pillows. The Bathroom was clean, with a shower, toilet, and bidet. Towels were large and thick The Hotel has free Wifi, and also 2 desktop computers with a printer for free printouts. We used them to print out out Lazio game tickets. The Hotel does have a great restaurant/lounge on the 5th floor. We had breakfast every morning and were very pleased with it. Good selection of foods both hot and cold. We did have dinner and drinks a few nights, and the meals tasted good and were very well priced. They make some nice Rum and Cokes. We had their Margherita Pizza, Carbonara, Fries, and Lasagna and all were good. They also had a nice Gym, and on the 5th floor there was also a Jacuzzi that just opened up. I believe there was a Sauna also there. All the Staff were super friendly, always saying Hello and Goodbye whenever we came in or left. We will definitely be coming back to IQ Hotel when we visit Rome again, and recommending to our Friends!
