Weekend away
The location was great with good bus service into Bath. The view over the river was beautiful and very relaxing. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were a bit tired looking, curtains had holes, paintwork patchy/flaky. rooms were a bit dusty too.

Back in Bath
Looking for somewhere not eye-wateringly expensive for a weekend in Bath. Perfect for us. Lovely walk in along the canal (would have got the boat from the other side of the weir but heavy rain early in week scuppered that). Cheap taxis back. Breakfast was great and had we not other plans would definitely have had an evening meal there based on that. Place is looking a little tired but as we spending sleeping time there not worried by that at all. Staff we really friendly and went out of their way to help. Will be back for next time I can wangle 2 nights’ childcare!!

Lovley friendly hotel.Staff were very good.We are in the resturant when we arrived, food was really good.I had fish and chips,it was a really nicley cooked and fresh.Breakfast lovley, the sausage was clearly a locally sourced one of the best.Views from bar was amazing even though it was raining. Will be back.Just be careful you dont miss the entrance or you have to pay to cross the toll bridge.

All good except extremely filthy carpets
It was all good. The restaurant is great with the drinks and fish n chips were incredible. Great place EXCEPT the carpets in the rooms, hallway and stairways are truly filthy. Do yourself a favour and stay in the main building. But the room carpets clearly do not get cleaned, even by a simple basic store bought cleaning foam and hoovering !!! However, the carpets here are so bad they need deep professional cleaning or total replacement. I totally love the staff, the breakfast and the views. Have stayed before due to kid in uni...and the price is right... but really going to pass next time as filthy carpets of that level are unacceptable ...sorry

Single beds were just put you up beds and very uncomfortable. The duvets were ultra small and didn’t cover you when in the bed. Sink was dirty in the bathroom and no lamps so you had to either have all lights on or none. Thankfully only booked in for one night, as I had very little sleep.
