Truly average stay - if that....
I'd forgotten I'd stayed here before - until I encountered the abysmal check-in process once more... Huge queue of people waiting to check in, two staff double-handing every customer while other staff just walked straight by and ignored the queue. Ate in "The Orangery" on the first night and regretted it; food just about OK, but the portions were tiny and they got my drink order totally wrong (asked for a pint of fresh orange juice and lemonade - received a pint of soda water with the tiniest splash of squash in the bottom) Couldn't be bothered to try and attract anyone's attention to ask them to change it, as they were all rushing around (my fish and chips was nearly thrown at me, by a guy in a loud check suit who didn't even stick around to ask if I wanted any condiments...) Decided to eat out the following night - absolutely stuffed my face with curry at Shah's about a mile away, got fabulous food and amazing service and for less than the price of my truly average, badly-served meal the first night. I've made a proper note in my diary not to go back, so I don't make the same mistake again.

6/10 Good

All of the shampoo and body wash bottles were empty, the extractor didn't work. The room was cold but soon warmed up when we put the heater on. The restaurant was quite smelly but the food was good and the service was excellent.

Disappointing
Family stay for 3 nights. Pool and sauna out of commission due to repairs but hotel did not notify us of this. Also noticed people on the front desk on the phones informing future customers it was possible to use the facilities before check in on arrival knowing full well they were closed.

Shouldn’t advertise as having spa facilities
Treated my mum and sister to a one night spa stay after a day out in Stratford. Unfortunately there aren’t really any spa facilities, the pool was out of order, there was what looks to have been a jacuzzi which has been covered up with decking, so just a steam room and sauna to use. The next morning we were told we could use the pool however it was freezing cold so we were in and out the spa in 20 mins and decided to head home. The hotel is set in a lovely picturesque countryside estate however for the price you pay the rooms themselves are quite basic. Wouldn’t stay again

Disgusting
The room allocated in the main hall was disgusting and smelt. We requested a refund approx 15 mins after checking in and left immediately. For the price I would not recommend staying at this location whatsoever.
