Good
Used to be great but......
Afraid to say this hotel is not the same as it was. Used to be run by a cheerful chap who couldn’t be more helpful. Made a nice breakfast too. Seems that he has sold up and now the hotel is self-service. Codes for the doors and boxes on the wall to collect a key. No longer any breakfast on offer at all. Such a shame as it used to be great value for money. I for one won’t be back again.

BEWARE - NEW owners - ratings front previous owner
BEWARE - NEW OWNER - RATINGS ARE FROM PREVIOUS OWNER - i have stayed here a few times with previous owner,it WAS friendly, comfortable and clean - I had to call to say I had arrived as no one was there to greet me, I then waited for Vicky to attuve to give my key. They have changed the old dining room into more bedrooms - I was informed they no longer do breakfast either which was advertised in details - I was also in the basement which was smelly, big hole in ceiling and very noisy electric box! The bathroom we separate and also I'm need of refurb. Their maintenance guy kept going into room next door making a racket! After am hour I tried to contact them to say I was booking in somewhere else but I had no reply - I ended up booking into another hotel and posting my key in box in hallway.

Bed and breakfast, but no breakfast available!!
Self check in at this hotel. Had paid for breakfast but there was no one available to provide any. When I phoned the hotel landline and mobile no one answered. I sent a text message asking about breakfast but they did not have the decency to answer. I have never had a 2 night stay ever where it was not possible to either meet or speak with the hoteliers. The worst bed and breakfast I have ever experienced. This hotel appears to be a con!! P. Marsden

Exceptional
Nice B&B
Fast friendly check in. Room good size and clean. Breakfast was fantastic for a B&B, great choice and quality with a 2 hour window. Only downside was the shower had poor water pressure and the window let in some traffic noise.

Loved by guests? Certainly!
As you approach the hotel, it's on a busy-ish road. Neat but unassuming entrance, you step inside, meet Heino, one half of the proprietor partnership, check out the lovely room assigned to you (with bath as requested) and immediately one of Melvin Udall's (Jack Nicholson) classic quotes from "As Good As It Gets" comes to mind: "Melvin Udall: I might be the only person on the face of the earth that knows you're the greatest woman on earth. I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do, and how you are with Spencer, "Spence," and in every single thought that you have, and how you say what you mean, and how you almost always mean something that's all about being straight and good. I think most people miss that about you, and I watch them, wondering how they can watch you bring their food, and clear their tables and never get that they just met the greatest woman alive. And the fact that I get it makes me feel good, about me." Well, maybe a little over the top, but the couple really make an effort to run their establishment with pride. Comfy bed. Fab fab breakfast. Great rates, good location. Very laid back. I would certainly stay again if I were to find myself staying over in Swansea.
