Well below standard
The bed in the first room we were given was unacceptably uncomfortable (the mattress had all but collapsed in the middle). In addition, the lock on the door broke, meaning we were locked in and the maintenance team had to be despatched to let us out. We were then moved to another room, but this was a smaller room. We experienced a lot of noise from other guests (coming back and shouting early in the hours) in both of the rooms in which we stayed. The hotel is rather dated and needs some refurbishment efforts. the breakfast is dreadful (poor choice, cold food (which should be hot), dark and gloomy breakfast area, and two waitresses who couldn't be more unwelcoming and unhelpful if they tried. We were given breakfast for free one morning as compensation for the room issues (mentioned above), but it is incredible to think they actually charge guests for this service.

Not so great! stay elsewhere
I have stayed at several hotels around the Tribeca area for years and the sheraton is not great. Really dated and basic hotel. Feels worse than the holiday inn and premier inns. Bathrooms are badly designed and water from the bath can go everywhere. The rooms were not cleaned properly either, one day they forgot to clean the bathroom and the second day the bed wasn't made properly with all the sheets loose. So many better options in the area. avoid!

Great location.
Love the location. Perfect for me as I love SoHo and TriBeCa. Room was small but had everything we needed. Would have liked to have had a fridge in there. Some days cleaning staff were slow to get to our room but other times they were very proactive. Doors slamming on nearby rooms were super loud. Weird 'slot' and sign in elevator said to activate with key card. This was not in use though so caused confusion. Maybe cover that up as I lost my key in there once :) I would stay here again . Front desk staff were nice and also liked the driver service I got back to JFK. Will be back !

Modern hotel with some unfortunate features
Room was modern clean and nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. WiFi only available in rooms for additional cost which wasn't appreciated. Ice vending machines very loud and guests using them late night was disturbing. Also sounds from other room's doors closing travelled.
