We were at the Bayview Hotel for a family wedding, the views are beautiful, staff were friendly, professional and nothing was to much trouble, they made it a great day for our nephew and his new wife and a very pleasurable two days for the whole family. You do however definitely need a car to go from village to village.

I'm still hungry
Nice hotel with an amazing view of the ocean. All rooms have French balconies. Room was good with a couple of exceptions. The TVs are tiny tube TVs which I haven't seen in a long time. Shower curtain barely reached the top edge of the tub so when you're showering it doesn't have enough material to cling to the tub rather than your body so I spent the majority of the shower wrapped up in the shower curtain that a thousand people before me had probably had the same problem with. A gross thought. Wifi doesn't reach all the rooms (including ours) so we had to sit in the lounge area to access it. They have a pub/restaurant in house. However be warned that if you miss the cutoff for food orders by 3 minutes, they won't feed you. Thankfully I had crackers in my car to subsist off of until the morning. No restaurants (or even gas stations) within walking distance so if you miss the cut off for food you're hosed. Breakfast is quite overpriced (15 euros per person). Not a lot of parking so don't get in too late. Otherwise it's a nice hotel in a great location.

Quaint, but some rooms need a bit of an update
Lovely location, nice pubs nearby and brilliant sea views. This is a great hotel but it just looks a little tired and dated in places which lets it down a bit. The main hotel areas are old fashioned, but very charming in an antique-shop sort of way, so no complaints there. However our bathroom needed redecorating - tiles very ugly and no clean colourscheme or style gone into it. Looked long-overdue a makeover.

A hidden jem
The hotel is set in a superb location with sea views with terraced lawned areas and only a short walk to the harbour where you can hop on a boat to the lighthouse. The hotel is full of charm and very welcoming as were the staff. Food in the bar was really good as was the service throughout was good and well worth a stay, if only to enjoy the views
