    Nice stay for the price.

Nice comfortable stay close to the beach. Very nice English breakfast cooked for us which was included with our stay. The Guest house is run by a very nice couple who were very friendly. The Guest house itself is old and the items in the bedroom and bath room are old too. Also, a ladder to get on to the top deck of the bunk bed would have been helpful. But for the price we paid for a stay including the full breakfast, it is well worth.

Good - In a quiet and historic part of town with no through traffic, so nice and peaceful, yet only a couple of minutes walk from the centre. Bad - Very delapidated, looking like it hadn't been decorated or furnished since the early 60s. Very strong smell of dampness in room, even after leaving window wide open for hours. Breakfast disappointing with poor choice of cereals, etc and the WEAKEST coffee imaginable - a pale amber liquid with no taste.

    Typical 2 star.

Just stayed here for the one night and it was a pleasent stay. Decor was way out of date with torn wall paper, dust on top of furnishings and no ladder for the bunk-bed which my daughter fell when trying to climb up. However the proprietors were very welcoming and the breakfast was very good.I would probably choose another hotel if I was to visit Ayreshire again.
