POD Camps Bay

I stayed with my boyfriend at POD Camps Bay and was blown away by the experience. The service was top notch; even before our arrival, staff coordinated our getting to the hotel and accommodated different check-in times. They left a gift in our room for our anniversary. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. What really blew me away was when I tried to order dinner from a local restaurant during our stay for room delivery. The restaurant was unable to accommodate, and POD's staff then took it upon themselves to have the kitchen whip up EXACTLY what I'd ordered. Amazing. Would 100 percent recommend.

Arrived earlier than the official check in time to be met by the friendliest hotel reception we have ever experienced! The reception area itself was stunning, great views over the beach and a relaxing bar to watch the sunsets. Everywhere was spotless, very modern and comfortable. Our room (202) was great, with views of the mountains from one side of the balcony and the beach on the other. I could have sat on the balcony all day to be honest (the room came with a fridge stocked with beer and a bottle of white wine!). The hotel has a great location, just a short stroll away from bars and restaurants along the promenade. Very handy for a nice run along the shore road too (I went out for 5k - along to Bantry Bay and back - felt very safe despite being on my own). Reception made great recommendations for activities and offered to book these up for us, kept us informed of availability and weather conditions. Couldn't ask for better service really. If we ever return to Camps Bay, we will definitely stay at POD again.

What a terrific hotel. Modern, sleek furnishings and design, location a block off the shoreline of Camps Bay and the beach, walking distance from all the great spots to dine, and a staff that is just terrific. A nice extra touch is when you feel like hanging out in the hotel room at night and watch a movie, there are hundreds of free movies at the front desk to grab and take to the room, and the staff is gracious to deliver popcorn and hot chocolate to the room as often as you need a fix. Honestly, the staff makes this place even better, as they are very nice and pleasant. Breakfasts are also excellent. One of the best boutique hotels we stayed in during our South Africa trip. Highly recommended! *****

My boyfriend and i had such a lovely stay at POD Camps Bay and my only regret was not staying longer. We got automatically upgraded upon checking in and had a room with a view of both the mountains and the ocean. The location could not have been better in regards to being in Camps Bay. The hotel offered so many additional amenities such as free wine in the mini fridge (!!). The person at the front desk booked us a very last minute taxi ride to the airport at an extremely reasonable price. Lovely staff, lovely hotel, lovely location!

I was treated to a room upgrade on arrival which definitely helped make it a memorable stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and highly attentive. From the ground floor, the ocean view was mostly obstructed by the block of flats opposite but considering I didn’t even pay for a sea view this didn’t get in the way of my enjoyment. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed and plenty of freebies are thrown in. It took only 30 seconds to walk to the beach. I strongly recommend this hotel.
