Dirty room, bad service.
Room was not clean, blood and hair on sheets that didn't belong to us. They change the wifi password in the morning which is absolutely the worst time to do it (so during any given day long stay you have to acquire 2 diff passwords). Tried to call front desk several times for new password with no answer, finally had to walk down there and the girl got snippy with me for just asking. Best of all, we checked in at 1am in the morning and asked for a late checkout and they told us the best they could do was 11 since housekeeping leaves at 2. Their late checkout is sooner than most places regular checkout.

Great Tyler Hotel
Great stay for my family of three (including a 3-year-old). Nice kitchen and living area separate from the bedroom. Couch folds out, too. Very quiet, beautiful courtyard, convenient breakfast daily and dinner Mondays-Wednesdays. Ask for a room facing the courtyard; it's so pretty.

Potential 5-star hotel with poor follow-through
Almost everything was great with this hotel: safe, quiet, clean, comfortable. Hits: 1. Nice public areas (great room, den, patio with fire fountain, and gazebo) 2. Plenty of lighting in room 3. Plenty of outlets for charging portable electronics (I would like to have also had USB charging blocks available) 4. Ergonomic chair and funcitonal desk with light directly over workspace 5. Full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, full-size coffee maker, glass tumblers (instead of paper cups), and utensils 6. Cold AC 7. Cozy bed, pillows, sheets, and towels 8. Good shower, tall shower head, good water pressure, plenty of hot water A few misses: 1. Too few coffee filter pods in room; I had to make a trip to the desk for more. 2. Salt and pepper shakers had packs of salt and pepper packed into them; one would need tweezers to get them out 3. Tub stopper broken (I didn't need it, but it hinted at poor attention to detail) Overall, normally a 5-star potent ion, except...I found a hypodermic syringe on top of the refrigerator. I took it to the front desk clerk. She apologized and asked if I was a rewards member. I wasn't. She asked for my phone number so I could become a ember and be given points for the inconvenience. She also said she'd have the GM contact me. I was NOT contacted by the GM nor did I receive any points.

Cool place to chill
I LOVED this hotel - easily the best I have ever stayed at. They have a gorgeous courtyard complete with a fire pit that is lit each night and an outdoor lounge. Breakfast and dinner is included with your rate and the food is fantastic. The rooms are clean and spacious. Stay here if in the area, seriously!
