Great stay
Room comfortable, food great, staff friendly and very helpful. Safe and secure, throughout hotel and parking area. Would definitely stay again! Shower was powerful. The only downside was shower cubicle tiles needed a full clean down as spotted with a few bits of black mould.

Friendly and relaxed staff. Breakfast was a good selection of help yourself. Quiet.

Great Value Hotel
Very surprised with the cleanliness of this hotel not what I expected from first impressions of the exterior. Interior is a little dated but still in good condition. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was a 10 out of 10. Would definitely stay again as it was very good value for money.

The Cambridge Hotel
Poor2.0
sleepless then some prattle
Quality of stay is very hit & miss, and recently well off-target. If its a 'miss', you can then go on to enjoy the 'customer is always wrong' ethos adopted by hotel staff and anchored by the manager. Major problems include just about the worst set of inherently-slamming internal bathroom doors in rooms (as well as main room doors) that would wake up an anesthetised elephant. When coupled with inconsiderate / restless guests in neighbouring rooms, you can wave any sleep goodbye. If this happens, don't try and contact reception as you'll enter into an even deeper nightmare with staff who must have been trained in the art of trying to remediate issues by encouraging you to top yourself, then telling diversionary lies to the manager, pre-empting your inevitable compliant in the morning (if you make it that far). Amongst the comedy deflections next day from the manager was his reply to me asking whether being able to get no more than 4 hours sleep was in keeping with expected standards of the hotel where he said 'depends on the type of sleep'. Pluses are one excellent member of reception staff on in the evenings (totally against the run of play), well equipped rooms and decent beds. Other problems are variability in cleanliness (sometimes items of junk on floor, smell of pee in bathrooms, out-of-date milk). In summary, a park bench is lower risk and a lot cheaper.
