Great location in the old town. Steep slippy and worn concrete steps up to the apartment were quite dangerous, especially with luggage and a pram. Extremely uncomfortable beds and rattling old windows in bedrooms made for a long night. Decor and style of apartment quite pleasing overall, though some general repairs definitely needed.

Good value spacious apartment.
Modern, clean well appointed two bedroom apartment, one with en-suite. Good self catering facilities appliances and area. Pub/eatery within 200 yards. Situated in a narrow cobbled side street so taxi needed from reception office, which is itself down a steep alley. Located towards the bottom of the Royal mile so a 20minutes walk up to castle. Very convenient bus stop for Royal Yacht etc.

Apartment itself was amazing - everything you need and looks great. Only down side is the number of stairs to get to it, which I was warned about so it wasn't a big deal. I would definitely book again. The TV remote needed new batteries but i just used the controls on the TV.

A fabulous apartment in centre of town. Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need. Helpful and welcoming staff.

We stayed at 9 Old Fishmarket, very large apartment easily big enough for 2 couples. Very close to the Royal Mile, good value for money. Needs a bit of TLC, sliding doors are very stiff or wont move, settees need a good clean or new covers, toilets take an age to refill and we didn't manage to get any hot water to the sink in the ensuite as the flow was just a trickle. The TV is quite old and doesn't have a good signal so some channels break up many do not show. The apartment is on the ground floor and has a walkway in front of it, on this walkway there are a number of loose paving slabs which make a very loud noise when walked on which kept us awake.

Great big apartment just off the Royal Mile
When staying in a great city it is important to have good central accommodation and St Giles apartments ticked that box. we were not disappointed to enter our huge apartment which was clean and just a minutes walk from the tourist attractions, shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend
