decent stay at Rectory Farm
Good stay. Only downside is the lack of food options for late arrivals.

A comfortable stay
Fabulous ambiance, comfortable and spotless bedroom, grand driveway down to the properties that make up this place. The facilities for weddings are second to none. It's a shame that a few things did not add up to a warm welcome, namely an unexpected car park charge, a tucked away reception, no evening restaurant and threats of additional charges for transgressing the rules card in the bedroom. Overall it's lovely though - so I hope they sort these niggles out.

Comfortable stay
Just what we needed for a quick visit: quiet, just out of town, helpful staff, comfy, no bells and whistles

Picturesque but hidden prices
Rectory farm is picturesque and quiet. The room was clean and came with all the usual things a hotel comes with. The main criticisms we had were as follows: £2 a day to park your car- this is unreasonable when there is a huge car park. This was not advertised clearly. £10 for a continental breakfast which is pricey we chose to eat elsewhere so cannot comment on the quality. The beds weren't that comfortable, we had two singles pushed together which meant that the duvet wasn't big enough and sleeping in the middle of the bed wasn't an option due to the ridge that was present due to two beds being pushed together. A single duvet each would be better suited. Luckily we had a duvet with us due to the snow and keeping safe in the car which we used for the second night. The room was quite cramped due to the big bed.
