2 night stay end of May 201
Great Location - friendly staff - Room was nice overlooking rear garden and woods. Breakfast - not worth the Money - Cold Baked Beans , Tomato , Mushrooms , Coffee / Tea Warm to Cold - had to ask for Hot Water - Poor selection of cereals. Bar - Drinks - very expensive. Bar Menu - limited - Ate out on both nights (recommend The Fox less than a Mile away ) Shower - had to wait for an age for Hot Water to come through. Unpleasant smell in Lobby to Reception + External Main Entrance Door had seen better days. Judging by other reviews over the last year or so it seems little has been done to improve the points raised - which is a pity because the Location, Grounds and surrounding Area are fantastic.

Pleasant Stay
Room was fine. Comfy and clean. Window was screwed shut. Staff were helpful and polite. Menu was not too inspiring and ordered a takeaway on the second night.

Oxford stay
The hotel itself is a little out of town but therefore quiet with a lovely country atmosphere. The family room was very well appointed and the staff, particularly Kristian, were a joy. The negatives were the lack of attention to detail. On the day we arrived there was no soap in the bathroom which we thought must be a new hotel policy so we didn’t ask. There was only one tea bag, the door lock was broken but the worst was the meal. Being out of town tired travellers want nothing more than to relax not rush back to town to eat. So we stayed in and chose what looked like the least miserable being a hamburger. Mistake. Two shiny plastic unbuttered bun halves gripped an abysmal piece of what must have once been meat. The result was inedible yet twice the price of food on town. Kristian’s very pleasant service was the only positive feature Needless to say we skipped breakfast there and found many delightful eateries in Oxford itself. Oxford was a joy. So much to see and do. Sad though. With a little attention to detail and a bit of effort on the cooking front this place could be really great. The price was good although they charged ten pounds extra to supply a hard little travelling baby cot which every other hotel supplies free of charge even though the hotel room normally sleeps four and our fourth was a baby so no sheets used on the fourth bed.

Nice hotel, good value.
Stayed for one night at the Westwood hotel while visiting Oxford. It was an enjoyable stay, and very good value for money. The hotel could do with a little TLC but overall it was a nice place.

Could be nice if clean and better breakfast availa
Hotel has potential to be nice, but whenever a room isn't very clean it's always an unpleasant experience. The bathroom in particular had only had a light touch clean. Also, wasn't happy about being charged £10 for a breakfast that consisted of a piece of toast and a yogurt (couldn't face a full English and the alternatives were basically non-existant). Nice location, we got the bus into Oxford from bus stop just at the roundabout.
