Very disappointed by customer service
I have stayed there many, times in the last 4 years for tournaments. I find the customer service has gone drastically down hill since I first started staying there. Recently I had left some items behind, but I called as soon as I had realized and was transferred to house keeping. After giving the room info and items I had left house keeping said they would put my items with the front desk staff as I was returning again soon. I showed up for my next Edmonton trip to the sandman and got terrible service from the front desk, she never once looked at me, was completely indifferent to me. So I asked about my items that were supposed to have been brought to the desk, she checked for a minute or so and said "nope, nothing here". So I explained to here that I had talked to housekeeping and was told it would be there. She said I might have better luck with the manager tomorrow. So the next day I explained the situation to him and he was very nice about it and did his due diligence to try and find them to no avail. He suggested I talk to house keeping tomorrow. So the next day.. Again... I explained it all over to the newest person on the counter and he contacted house keeping and they said they didn't have any record of talking to me or my items. So after going through almost 6 people including housekeeping, no items. If the service had stayed at a consistent level of customer care I wouldn't never think of going anywhere else but I think it's time to find a new place.

when we first got checked into the room, it was not thoroughly cleaned. there were some dirty paper towels on the counter. the toilet paper that was placed in the room each day had blue, green and yellow colored stains on the side of the rolls. On our last day, we had to ask twice for our room to get cleaned, and even then the lady only cleaned the washroom. We had a do not disturb sign on until we left our room around 1 pm and we went to the man at the front desk and told him we were leaving for a few hours so to clean our room and we had taken the sign off. came back around 4pm and it wasn't touched. we got ready again and left at 7pm and asked why it wasn't cleaned and the lady did not have an answer. she claimed we left the sign on the door all day when that was not true. told her we would like it cleaned again and as she spoke to the cleaning lady over the walkie-talkie i could hear the lady saying she was alone so she didn't want to. i told the lady we would like the bathroom and bedroom cleaned, they don't have to touch the living space and kitchen area but only the bathroom was done. stayed here once before this visit and it was phenomenal but after this recent visit i will not be staying here again.

We booked last minute. Was pleased upon arrive how nice the property was. Got all checked in paid for an upgrade and the room had no functioning air/heat/fan call front desk they relocated us to the first floor same room type. Everything was dinged up. The bathroom had a set of used contract lenses on the counter. So nobody even wiped the counter from the last guest in the room. Smell of smoke in the room. While being on main floor is nice the hallways were loud, It just wasn’t as clean as it should have been. They should do something about fixing the issues in the rooms Plus all the windows in the bedroom were all unlocked and they are right at parking lot level. Maybe that’s where the smoke smell was coming from I don’t know. But as a non smoker it was a problem for me. So my advice don’t stay on main floor and hopefully your room is cleaner than ours. That is a major problem at soo many hotel chains. Staff was incredibly nice and friendly. Denny’s is right on the property. While it’s not somewhere I normally eat we arrived very late and were more than pleased with our meal.

A good hotel you can consider to stay
A big room including living room, bedroom and open kitchen. Interior design are nice and my girl frd likes it too. There are clothing washing and drying machine. Most of cooking devices for utensils are provided including dish washer!! It’s nice. The environment are quiet and nice. The location is between downtown and airport, but you can walk to a 24 hrs supermarket in 15 mins if you want to have a walk after dinner in a quiet street(but safe I sure because the street light are sufficient) in midnight. 2 things has to be awared by hotel. 1. There is a coffee machine and instant Starbucks coffee bags provided in room. However, there is a used coffee bag in the coffee machine. I called the staff in lobby and ask why this used coffee bag still inside in coffee machine, he just replied me I can dispose the coffee bag and it is disposable.....he has no apologize for this. 2. There is a tissue paper box(it’s hard plastic) provided in room. But there is dust and almost fully covered on the box, the box is black color and I stil can see the dust. I put it on the table of kitchen, the room service didn’t find this problem during my stay(5 nights total). I still recommend this hotel because the price is good compared to the room size, interior design, facilities and environment

Disappointing for such a new property
The lobby is beautiful, the front desk staff are unwelcoming - preferring to pay attention to their phones rather than guests. The room is beautiful - a little small but well laid out. Surprisingly, no USB chargers in the suite. No additional plug ins at the bedside table so you have to unplug a clock or a lamp to charge your devices. The bed is sacked. I’m sure at first it was very comfortable, however, you can only sleep on your back in it as it is shaped like a hammock. Counters are not wiped when the room is made up. Never once when we returned to the room (we stayed for 3 nights) did anyone at the front desk even put their head up to say hello when we were coming back in to the hotel.
