Very good
Good value Hotel
We stayed here for 3 nights and visited Bletchley Park and Woburn. It served us perfectly well. Our room was clean and large (we had the top floor premier room) Room Number 9. The bathroom was large with a nice bath. There was a little road noise, but nothing too serious. Otherwise, we found it comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room and a nice TV to watch. The Hotel is probably in need of a little refurbishment in places. The carpets in the corridors are a little scruffy. The room could do with a little TLC (no pictures on the wall etc)... however, it was totally adequate. The breakfasts we had were great. Very nice indeed. We didn't eat in the evening here so cannot comment about the food. It seemed very quiet and one night the bar area was closed completely (Friday night too). This can really only point to the fact no-one is using the bar and restaurant. The rest of the Village was busy. This is a shame, because judging by the breakfasts, the food would probably be good. The Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a good value Hotel to stay in. Do not expect 5 Star luxury but it's conveniently located and perfectly adequate. Would recommend.

Fair
Requires some T.L.C. ....but a lovely breakfast !
We were telephoned at 8pm, on our way to the bed and breakfast, as they wanted to close the pub due to lack of custom, sadly this stopped us being able to access any food or a drink on arrival. The room requires updating, lack of ability to charge up phones etc, as the only socket was behind a large cupboard we had to keep pulling out, no bedside lighting, and the window does not close, and the bathroom was carpeted :( i realise the property is an old coaching inn, and possibly a Grade 2 listed building, however things like bad stains on the carpet, could easily be rectified. On a positive note the breakfast was really good, and the service excellent, its sad that a really old public house that clearly requires updating, is closing early evening and that advertises meals with a lovely menu :(

Exceptional
Lovely old hotel
I stayed here for 1 night and booked premium room with ensuite. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The room was nice. We had a very large room with en suite which had a clean comfortable king size bed and also two single put you up beds for children in it although we did not use the singles. The curtains could do with some attention as not hung properly. The large en suite had a large walk in shower. We did not eat here at night but The breakfast was very nice, freshly cooked local produce along with cereals, juices, tea, coffee etc all included in a reasonable price for what you got.

Exceptional
Lovely old pub B&B
This is a lovely old pub hotel, conveniently located on the main road in Woburn. We stayed in the rooms above the pub but it was nice and quiet. The stairs were pretty steep so if mobility is an issue ask for a ground floor room. The room was large and the floor was a bit uneven because it's an ancient old building. We had twin beds which were super comfy and the heating was excellent. We had a shared bathroom, although there was a shower and sink in the room. Plenty of coffee and biscuits were provided. There is some off road parking but the access archway is tight if you have a large car. The breakfast was lovely and the whole stay was exceptional value .

Good
Prime candidate for 'The Hotel Inspector'
Poor poor old property in need of much love! Pro's: Staff were friendly and polite, bed was comfortable Cons: Property is in a mess, 'Premier Room' PMSL - Maybe, many moons ago Never ate as there didn't appear to be anyone else doing so which concerned me. Village is a bit weird. 1 VERY expensive and lively bar / restaurant, everywhere else very quiet. Limited mobile signal, rural broadband (WiFi). Lovely country location. All in, very strange experience - Shall not be returning
