Poor 2.0
Bad experience
Although we came from very far away, reception was not kind to accept us before 15:00 pm. We left luggages and waited a few hours outside for checkin. Staff in reception on 20 may was not kind and i thought that i came to a very strange hotel. Room was very bad. That was the worst hotel room we stayed in Japan. We've seen hotels in Kyoto and Osaka too but this was the worst one. We had to stay one day in this hotel. It was like an old dormitory and it was the most expensive one in Japan. It's not east to find the hotel from Osaka station as there's construction nearby osaka station on may 2017. Breakfast was better and the guy in breakfast hall waa much better than guys in reception. However, staff on 21 may in reception was much better than staff on 20 may. Especially guy who is originally from Indian (seems like that) was very polite and helped us alot. The other people seem not happy. Breakfast was ok but not very good. I will not stay in this hotek if i go to osaka again. I will pay more and stay in a better one.

Poor 2.0
never again!
The checkin was very unpolite. No greeting or anything. When we entered the room we immediately recognized the dirty walls. We even found gray on walls near the window and in the bathroom. There where also a lot of big dirty stains on the carpet. After further inspection we also found someones else's hair on the bed (at this time we were 5 minutes in the room). Our doors had holes in it. It looked if someone had thrown things on them. On the doors and the table we had a lot of dust. Even the mirrors were smeary and something sticked on it. The urin stain next to the toilet should also be mentioned. We confronted the employees with our impression but nobody was able to understand english. So, we went back in the room and made fotos. Back at the reception we showed it them. The employee said a few things in japanese, turned around and went away. We will never visit this hotel again!

Very good 8.0
Good Hotel in the city
The Hotel staff are impeccable. They are wonderfully welcoming and will help you out with a lot of different things if you are stuck. The rooms are small especially for someone of my stature (6ft 6/ 2m). The rooms had a few places that were a bit broken (for example some bits of wood seemed water damaged). The breakfast was good and is cheaper to buy it when you book as opposed to when you are there. The location is quite close to the main station in Osaka and also not far from lots of really nice restaurants. Lastly i would like to recommend this Hotel because the staff speak enough English to be able to help with most of the requests that I had. I would recommend this Hotel on the calibre of its staff alone.

Good 6.0
Not amazing, but adequate for what it was
Preface, I chose this place purely because it was walking distance to the JR station, for one night only then departing the next morning. For what it was (a bed and a shower) it was adequate but no more. For a few dollars more I could have had a proper room, so I would not visit again. Location: surprisingly difficult to find. Hotel is not air conditioned, only the rooms (sort of. The remote for the AC has about 35 buttons, in Japanese only and no intuitive ease of use. Several minutes of trial and error gave the five button sequence to turn on the AC). Weather was 36C 81% on this day. Restaurant for breakfast was surprisingly good. Small but good variety of Japanese style items, with some very basic western choices like granola (no other cereal), buns, and some odd items like pickled mystery vegetables and green salad. I ate only the Japanese items, which were great. Self serve buffet. Room was tiny but that was expected, single sink/shower combo gave instant hot water at good pressure. All in all, adequate for what it was, a place to clean up and sleep after 18 hours of travelling.

Poor 2.0
Cheap but dirty.
Lobby looks decent, but past that everything was filthy. Room was tiny, there were marks on the wall and ceiling. Toilet was tiny and had grimy stains. Mirror was chipped and dirty. Lift often smelled of smoke.
