Reception staff were very efficient and quick to deal with any waiting customers at check in and out. They were very friendly and helpful. The savage garden restaurant and bar is very nice , and has an outside area with a beautiful skyline view of some very famous buildings. Something to watch out for , if you are like me and think you should only pay a service charge if it’s due and I must admit I was shocked that at the restaurant bar upstairs, you were charged a service charge for basically ordering a drink at the bar and waiting for it to be made . When normally you pick a cocktail from the menu , the price is what you pay in the menu, you only normally pay a service charge if eating and drink in the restaurant, so it was a bit of a shock to fined from memory, I think 12.5 percent added on top of my experience £28 cocktails ( that was for two) so be prepared to pay!! The bedroom was a nice size and a comfortable temperature, the bed was large and comfy. En-suite was compact but useable.

Good hotel in great location and fab roof top bar
We enjoyed our stay. Only complaints are there was loud music from 8 p.m. until midnight but security guard looked into this for us and it did eventually stop. Assume it was from the room above. The breakfast in the restaurant attached to the hotel was overpriced for what it was and not particularly tasty or served with a smile. Hotel reception check in staff were helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome. Very comfortable clean beds and slept well when we did sleep. Massive TVs but choice of channels not particularly great. We only had a shower and nice to have choice of a bath especially when staying with a toddler. Overall very good though.

Great check in - poor check out
We stayed three night at the beginning of August and checking in was a really good experience. The duty manager was excellent, friendly and arranged for complimentary drinks in the bar when our room wasn't ready, even though we had arrived at the hotel early. We had an executive room which was clean and well appointed. The Executive lounge is perhaps not as well appointed as some other Doubletree Hiltons we have stayed at but it was more than adequate. Checkout however was not as satisfactory as checking in. On checking out we were asked to pay for the room again even though I had prepaid in advance. The assistant on the desk was adamant the room had not been paid for, even when I produced an email from confirming payment in full. Also the manager when we checked in confirmed everything had been paid. A different manager on the day we checked out was summoned to sort it out which he swiftly did. Also we had a problem with the concierge who was extremely unhelpful when we collected our bags later in the day we checked out. We were directed first to the ground floor desk, then upstairs to the first floor, then directed back down again to the ground floor, where we waited 20 minutes only for the concierge on the first floor to appear helping two young women, offering to take their bags to their car. No such curtesy showed to us who had been waiting so long, or to the elderly couple we saw struggling with their bags down the stairs from the first floor.

Good 6.0
Doubletree Tower Hill
We paid for a room so that we could use the Executive lounge. However the lounge was very small and we could not find spare seats as it was full. Breakfast seems chaotic and again everyone seems crammed in. I have stayed in several Doubletree Hiltons around the globe and unfortunately the UK ones never seem to come up to the standards of their overseas counterparts.
