Camping Village Roma, Rome

The hotel is situated western suburb of Rome and is relatively quite far out of the central after a longish metro ride and about 6 stops on the local bus. The staff there was helpful on the check-in, I was given a bungalow which was little basic but I was expected a little worse as I only stayed for the night the basic facility didn't bother me much as I just want to get my head down and rest up. The on-site amenities is quite plentiful I saw it a camping village I thought it was all just tents and maybe an area where you can cook your meal and or get some take out. But, I was wrong; it has pool area, a restaurant which still serves food until 11pm, a bar where you can have a few drinks with your friends and it looks it a start locations for organised tours. It even has a small convenient store sells small items incase you forget/lost anything and small range of grocery items.

Good and comfortable stay
Wifi connection was bad rest everything about it was really good. The place is beautiful and rooms are clean..staff are friendly esp the security as I found them more helpful than the reception staff.Easy access to metro and you have the shuttle bus service to and from the airport.Defintely recommend:)

Heating system was atrocious - didn't work!
I wouldn't stay there again - unless it was warmer! The 'new' heating system didn't seem to work properly, and I was moved into three different 'bungalows' (more like a garden shed with a couple of tiny beds in it, that you had to make up yourself!) Third time lucky - the heating worked. It was by then two hours later (past midnight) and I was cold and tired. Two other guests were also complaining about their heating not working at the same time.

Poor facilities
I would not like to stay at this camp again for the following reasons: Too many steps to get to the chalet (problem if you have knee problems), did not cater for older people i.e., no entertainment in the evenings (only for young people i.e., disco each night), limited to one restaurant, no kettle and no microwave in chalet.

Panoramic & convenience
The place is nice & away from the busy city. We stayed in the chalet for 3 nights with 4 kids. We found it covenient with transport, restaurants & supermarket's proximity. They have almost everything we needed. Kids had fun in the swimming pool although we expected a bigger one. I wish they have tv inside and routines for replacement of towels/beddings.
