Clean room, comfy bed, and friendly service
Really nice stay, we got a free upgrade which is always nice :) The hotel was nicer than I expected. Clean spacious room, comfy bed, and friendly service, good central location. Better coffee than most places given they have a free espresso machine in the lobby rather than a kettle and instant coffee in the room. The bathroom could do with a bit of refurbishing. We did not try their breakfast since at almost £20 per person it did not sound like good value.

Better than good
From the moment we were greeted on arrival, we guessed the Queensberry would be great. We were right. Super clean, big and comfortable room with nice settee and a big TV. Lovely bathroom, tasty freshly made breakfast

The hotel gave us an upgrade automatically which was so welcome after 2 nights stranded away from home by snow. The room was very comfortable.

Welcoming, friendly staff throughout, outstanding dinner in the restaurant and free room upgrade. Our only small niggle was that our room was a bit too warm even though the radiator seemed to be off. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pick your room with care
I suggest avoiding room 5 on the ground floor by reception. You can hear floor boards creaking all around outside the room, there is a noisy aircon type outlet outside the window, and various other noises. Otherwise the hotel is good and has been refurbished recently. There is a nice courtyard garden.
