Decent enough but watch extra charges
Rooms comforable and decent size and great shower room with plenty of hot water. About 10 minutes walk to station and town in quiet street - albeit road runs parallel to train line (no noise at rear of property where our room was -not sure if front facing rooms as quiet). The room was a bit cold - someone had unscrewed the thermostatic valve I assume trying to warm up the room but heating isn't on all the time - windows are a bit old and single glazed so that doesn't help. I booked a twin for single occupancy - was told charge for my daughter to stay would be additonal £30 then next day the chap tried to charge £50. Having paid £150 for room only £180 was expensive and £200 would have been totally OTT given we could have stayed in a 4* place with breakfast for less. Wouldn't stay again at that price. They need to charge less for double occupancy - most hotels only charge £10-20 for additional occupancy.

Can't recommend this hotel enough. Room was lovely and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Anyone who can makes poached eggs where the white is cooked and the yolk still runny gets top marks from me.
