2/10 Poor

Poorly maintained
It seems that amidst trying to project a Colonial image, the priperty management forgot that maintenance and repair might be required once or twice between the colonial times and today!! Electric plugs, faucets, bed, etc. were all very poorly maintained, even falling out of sockets. Rooms are small and very basic. The property overall does not appear to invedt the needed resources to repairs. Food not so good. All that given a $150/night price tag, which is probably $100 more what the hotel should cost.

4/10 Fair

We stayed in the treehouse. The room was run down and the construction was bad, with uneven floors. The balcony did not have a roof, which made it unusable most of the time. The roof leaked in the room during heavy rain. There were a lot of bugs in the room and the dresser drawers were filthy. They sprayed that night and cleaned the next day. There were NO bird feeders or animal feeders, so no birds or wildlife. Mainly cold water in the shower. The main building had an okay lobby and buffet. Nothing special. The lady who cleaned the room was great: Beatriz!!! Thank you. We checked out a day early (paid for) and nobody even asked why we were leaving.

Cool treehouse
The tree house was cool. I mean you are in a jungle and of course a tree house so you will see a lot or spiders and bugs. I seen two worms as well and there are cracks in the floors and doors so bugs get through. I didn’t care about those things because once again, I was expecting these things. However, there was no hot water. It gets hot for legit 10 seconds so either take a 10 second shower or deal with the cold like my fiancé and I did. There was a lot of rain and wind one night and it was hard to sleep because everything was being thrown around…especially the roof and trees. Lastly, I believe housekeeping only comes once you check out because we didn’t get that service. Other than that, I didn’t mind the place. The pools are very tiny and cold as so are the jacuzzis which was weird. The food was ok, I wouldn’t pay for all inclusive though. There’s several places to get food near the hotel.
