There was an error on our booking but the staff were able to address it promptly and changed our room immediately. "We liked the old fashioned grandeur of the place although the halls and doors could probably do with a spruce up. The room was quite large, clean and comfortable with tea and biscuits. The restaurant and bar looked quite nice but we didn’t use them. We thought the breakfast was a bit expensive at almost £40 for two so got some half price locally. We also had to pay £10 for parking nearby. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful though. All in all we had a nice stay."

"Girlie weekend that didn’t disappoint! The hotel was amazing!! The staff were all so friendly helpful and professional! The rooms so lovely and clean and the beds were so comfortable! Highly recommend and will certainly be looking to stay in another IHG Hotel."

Both meals were excellent but the prawn starter in the evening was one of the best I’ve had. The staff were all delightful and helpful but particular praise has to go to Marley in the brasserie. I hope to return one day but it’s a bit of a way from home."
