Fabulous hotel, lovely friendly & helpful staff, beautiful rooms with comfy beds and great food! Excellent location to Winchester Cathedral and shopping! We would definitely recommend this hotel!

A gem in the centre of town.
Great little Hotel/bar/restaurant in the centre of Winchester. The room was great, as was the evening meal and breakfast. It was very busy on arrival with local dinners resulting in difficulty to park and occupied staff a mediocre welcome. Overall a great stay I will be back.

Traditional pub with great food and accommodation just across the road. Couldn't fault a thing – the food and service were excellent and the compact room had everything I needed.

The Wykeham Arms was a lovely pub with a cosy atmosphere. My welcome was lovely and staff took my extra bag to my room when I checked in. Later when I went to my room I was surprised that it was over the road from the restaurant however it was a warm and homely building. I wasn't informed as to the amenities, breakfast times, facilities or information booklet so this was disappointing. My bed was made incorrectly with the duvet the wrong way and the sheets untucked, it was sloped too, meaning I had an uncomfortable night. However, the room was pleasant and the surroundings were beautiful. Neighbours were also friendly and the breakfast delicious. I am also grateful to the staff as I left my charger in the room and had to return later in the day - a young girl quickly realised she knew where it was and I had a nice chat while I waited. Thank you!

One night in Winchester
Really nice traditional pub in the heart of Winchester. Rooms decorated to a high standard with good facilities. One downside was that the cleaning staff started at early on the Saturday morning (check-out day), I normally wouldn’t have an issue with this however, as it is an old building, noise reverberates around as the building itself isn’t very big, it was very noisy, especially hoovering, I dare say that this could be done once check-out has occurred at 11. The main door to the annexe where we stayed also didn’t have a soft close, so the noise of people going in an out with the door being slammed shut wasn’t great. In addition, cleaning staff attempted to access our room at 10:30, when it should have been clear to them that we hadn’t checked out. Overall, our stay was good, check-in and bar staff very helpful.
