Hotel must have been nice in its heyday. Unfortunately that must have been a hundred years ago. We had a leaky faucet, rusted sink and a bathtub that should have been retired in the 90’s. The front desk staff was pretty useless - particularly on check-in when they should have offered us the discount card. The balding guy that worked the morning of June 26 was particularly a rude and useless snob. Breakfast was a delight and the views were spectacular, but it didn’t make up for putting us in a corner room near the cleaning closets - especially when there were other more pleasant room available.

Our room was quite dated, which I guess I should've expected from the pictures. The carpet in our room was extremely worn, and several contact lenses were on the carpet when we arrived in the room, so the carpet in the room had not been properly vacuumed. The bathroom was clean and new although small. Honestly, the best part was the view from the balcony. And the coffee maker was a nice bonus. Breakfast was pretty good - we didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner. The elevator broke down in the morning we were leaving. And then I said I probably wouldn't stay there again. I probably wouldnt stay there again.

The hotel sits high in the village with breathtaking views and feels like something from the past. The building is old but well maintained to be a lovely experience. We had an older style room but our friends had a modern decor room which makes me think they are updating rooms. The staff were wonderful and could not be more helpful.
