Convenient city centre hotel with parking.
Jurys is a national brand with a reputation to deliver. They did not fail and the hotel was clean, reception was efficient, the staff were friendly and helpful, rooms comfortable and tidy. Limited capacity in the car park so I had to park on the street for free overnight and into the car park whilst I had my meetings during the day. Helpful staff explained this to me.

Overall not a bad hotel and would stay again. Only 2 things i was not happy with. I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was awful very soggy and undercooked. The other is more a warning.... be careful of the lift doors they close very quickly! My shoulder is quite tender after being caught in them.

Nice rooms, rude staff
I booked the jury’s inn at Gateshead for my mother’s birthday and our experience was 50/50. The first issue I had was the staff at the front desk accused me of not booking two rooms when I explained twice that I booked the rooms under two different names. It was only when I showed my recipe on my phone that they listened. Me and my girlfriend stayed in one room and my mother and step father stayed in a different room, my mother had no issues with her room. My second problem was I was getting ready to go in the bath and my girlfriend was unpacking when a random guest walked into our room and got the shock of her life. I rang down to the reception and the women did apologise and said it was the managers fault. A male staff member did come to our room and asked my girlfriend if our card keys worked in the door, she was very confused by this question as we had been in that room for about 30 minutes. After he left nothing else was done about it, the staff made us all feel quite unwelcome.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, the room with a view that we asked for was good and clean with comfy beds, we had an evening meal and that’s the only thing that was very disappointing and didn’t feel was good value for money at all!!! Breakfast was lovely
