Convenient location off the highway with free parking (gate closed at night). Included breakfast is ok. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean. Room heating can be increased or stopped. There's a large green space outside the cafeteria that the children liked. The only issue we had was an occasional unpleasant smell in the hallway and bathroom which seemed worse on the second day. We will consider staying here again in the future.

Always a welcome break on our journey from Calais to Italy. Very big garden area for our dog and in warmer weather there is a swimming pool, Spa cabin and boule pitch. Joèlle on reception and Jocylene who was responsible for the rooms helpful. Although the hotel is next to the main road it was not noisy and had plenty of parking spaces, plus this area was secured at night.

AMAZING

An unexpected amazing experience. Starting with the online booking, being on our way to Europa-Park (2 adults +2 kids), everything was spot on. Although we've arrived late after midnight, we have been immediately accommodated by very nice, multilingual and knowledgeable staff. The rooms are very welcoming and spotless clean. The breakfast is attended by a "Turbo" lady which was filling in the buffet and will never let you wait or ask for something. We stayed here for 7 nights for a holiday visiting Christmas markets in the Alsace and Strasbourg. The room was ok for us - just needed more hanging and storage space for clothing. Also the sofa in the room was dirty and in need of a deep clean so we did not use it. The location of the hotel is good for access to the Alsace towns and Colmar. There is also a tram stop about 25 mins walk from the hotel which goes to the city centre. The problems we had were with the coach groups staying at the hotel. The hotel seems to cater for these at the detriment of independent guests. The first two nights of our stay were disrupted by a large group of loud teenagers with little supervision from the adults with them. Sitting in the bar in the evening was not a good experience due this group, they also woke us during the night and we were unable to get into breakfast because of them. They took no notice of requests from the hotel staff to behave and be quiet, numerous other guests complained as well as us but a resolution was not met. When this group left other coach parties arrived, they were not as disruptive but did take up all seats in breakfast area so again we had to miss breakfast. We were also woken by a guest's dog barking during one night. There are not enough staff in the evenings - one doing check in, serving drinks, microwaving food etc. Positioning of pool table and football table in reception not good, make it look like a youth club, noisy and block access. The place was a dump, we were on the road for 10 hours and thought we could trust a Holiday Inn, we were wrong. This was an old run down hotel that Holiday Inn put their name on. There were holes in the walls, paint and wall paper peeling, breakfast was awful. I will never stay at a holiday Inn again. The one bright spot was that the staff were very friendly and helpful.
