Great place, great food, great service.
Was working in Liverpool city centre and it was only 13 miles away but it's a long 13 miles.. however that was my fault not any problem of the hotels. I couldn't fault the place if it was easier to get to from Liverpool city centre I would love to go back. Pub was great, staff and other customers very friendly, room was great, food was fabulous

Lovely place to stay and very welcoming.
Nice surprise finding this lovely pub with letting rooms. Read reviews beforehand and it is what was said. Lovely. Very comfortable, warm and cosy. Had an evening meal in the restaurant then drinks in the bar. Will definitely recommend. Arrived early and guy on reception said room ready!! No fuss or bother.

Again another great stay at my second home in the North, breakfast expertly cooked and presented on a warm plate, possibly the best poached eggs around, great room, great staff, all round well done and thank you from Roland Sarin

From check in to check out, staff were professional and attentive and contributed to a very comfortable stay. The room was well appointed and immaculately clean. I ate in the restaurant on 2 evenings and the food was excellent and fairly priced. Breakfast was from 08:00 which may be later than needed by some business guests but when I said I needed to leave early I was immediately offered a breakfast sandwich. One point is that on busy days/ early evenings, free on site parking overflows onto a pay and display car park but again, staff made the times it was chargeable and how much known at check in.I would stay again.

Lovely short stay
I received a warm welcome on a cold windy night. They reserved a table for me for dinner and service was good. Food tasty and good value. Tidy, clean room with good space for storage, small TV adequate for short stay. Shower good & strong. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was great. Can not fault anything, I didn’t get to enjoy the large terrace, due to weather but nice bar for locals & seems to be very popular. My room was over bar but I was not disturbed by noise, which was audible but not raucous.
